Cthulhu vs 13 i conic 20th levels= winner cthulhu. BUT what about vs 20th level smack

Why SHOULDN'T an ultra-powerful D&D character be able to beat Cthulhu? High-level D&D characters can fly, turn invisible, call meteors down out of the sky, raise the dead, alter reality, fall off 200 ft cliffs and survive (with a Fort save), mow down hundreds of normal humans, slay enemies with...

Cthulhu a Wimp?? i could kick his slimy rear!

The big C doesn't have stats in CoC. His stats are only included if you want to use him in a regular D&D game. In a CoC game, he basically just eats whoever the DM wants.

[PR] FREE Portable Hole Full Of Beer IS HERE!

Indeed, posting a .EXE file for download on April Fool's Day - probably not a good marketing idea.

[OT] Tenth Planet in Solar System

And don't forget: This 10th planet created the asteroid field and earth by destroying another planet called Tiamat (Earth is what's left). That's why the Earth's moon is so big; because it was originally intended to orbit a larger planet. The aliens that live on the 10th planet (or around it...

    Nyambe -- D20 Fantasy Africa -- When?

Hmmm.... I have a Table of Contents, but it hasn't been finalized yet. I'll run your request past John Nephew once he's back from GAMA on Monday.

    Will CoC d20 be a bridge to classless/levelless D&D?

Its the same mechanically, but not psychologically. Does it really make sense to say I have a 120% chance of picking an average lock? I like the concept of DCs much better than % checks, especially becuase when you are playing a game, wanting to roll LOW on skill checks and HIGH on attack...

    Star Wars RPG--What Happened?

Um... I hate to nit-pick, but LOTR has already made over 290 million dollars domestic - more than Empire Strikes Back.

Hey Chris - Nice cover for Nyambe!

Re: "amazon" I personally LIKE the term Amazon, but there does seem to be a bit of hostility against it. I think a compromise term might be a good solution. I'll let Michelle know what I can come up with...

Hey Chris - Nice cover for Nyambe!

Voodoo is a Hoylwood version of Vodun, which is based on "La Regula Lucumi" (the Yoruba religion), which is more-or-less what the religious system in Nyambe is based upon. However, I've re-worked the god-like spirits of La Regula Lucumi (which I call the Celestial Orisha and Fiendish Orisha)...

Hey Chris - Nice cover for Nyambe!

Well, the prestige class is based on the warrior-women of Dahomey, who were really called "Amazons" by the first Europeans to encounter them. Here's an example: http://www.ess.uwe.ac.uk/genocide/reviewsw81.htm But the book is still in editing, and I can easily change the name to something...

Hey Chris - Nice cover for Nyambe!

I can't speak for the publisher, but I suspect they need to see how well this book does before they'd consider any supplements. Even if they don't publish anything else though, I plan to support it through the website - I know I haven't updated the web site in ages, but that's because...

WHY!! why do they toss my miniatures around?

You know, I've come to the conclusion that mini's just get dinged around no matter how hard you try to avoid it. After reaching that epiphany, I started buying Mage Knight figures for my monsters and NPCs. If the player's want painted metal figs they can do it themselves...

    Brain dead, need Campaign Idea.

How about a secret plot by the good dragons to overthrow the evil ones? How about a human (elf, dwarf, drow, etc.) plot to overthrow the entire empire and install themselves? Maybe technology is slowing sapping the magic from the universe, causing spells to fail. What would happen if the...

Well, that's what the obituaries page is for. You can read about dozens and dozens of deaths every day. No, not everyone gets an article, but you can believe somebody thought that person was important. CWD

    Nyambe -- D20 Fantasy Africa -- When?

Re: Thanks Chris Believe me, I wish it was out already too! In all fairness though, its giving me time to do more research and correct inconsistencies and problems in the original manuscript. The final version will have: Revised cultures and races Revised core class variants Revised skill...

    Nyambe -- D20 Fantasy Africa -- When?

Hit, this is Chris Dolunt, Nyambe's main author. Right now the editing is half-way through the first draft. Michelle Brown-Nephew (the editor) is on vacation until late February while I frantically write up wilderness encounter tables. She'll probably be done editing by early March...
