    Spoilers The Marvels (Spoilers)

Unless you believe that quantity over quality is where Disney went wrong over the last few years. Then that paints a different picture.

    Spoilers The Marvels (Spoilers)

I was about to say that. To me, the fact that this is doing it's level best to pretend Secret Invasion never happened is a solid plus in my books. A solid, fun little movie, that doesn't try to be anything but. It is so refreshing to have one of these clock in under 2 hours. This, Guardians...

D&D 5E (2014) Justin Alexander's review of Shattered Obelisk is pretty scathing

As someone who has been playing for 40+ years, I certainly don't feel like they want me to go away. I've enjoyed 5e immensely and am looking forward to the new 2024 Core. I'm sorry you're feeling under-serviced. But there's no evidence they are hoping all us original players hurry up and die...

D&D 5E (2014) Justin Alexander's review of Shattered Obelisk is pretty scathing

I’d certainly have no issue with that.

D&D 5E (2014) Justin Alexander's review of Shattered Obelisk is pretty scathing

You’re right. But they are dealing with a limited page count. And this isn’t the first issue that has come up this year where it’s been said that “people who don’t want it can ignore it”. If they added in everything that everyone wanted (that other people can ignore), the book size would...

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

That’s actually a very good point: where did all these young dragons come from, and where are their parents? And what is forcing all these dragons to stay in such a small area?

D&D Movie/TV Check Out These Previews Of Hasbro's New D&D 'FAST' Channel

Too bad Freevee only seems to be available in the US. I probably would have enjoyed the cooking show a lot.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

If I were you, I’d make double-sure the GM is ok with you using home brew tables that give you six silver dragons. And by the way, isn’t this at least the second time those tables have generated huge retinues of silver dragons? I’d say those tables are probably not suitable for general games...

    Palladium Announces New TMNT Kickstarter

Savage Worlds does have a supplement for this : Big Apple Sewer Samurai I don't have it myself, but looks like it should get you to where you need to go for TMNT.

    Grade the Savage Worlds System

It’s not the trappings so much, but the modifiers. As @thullgrim mentioned, there’s even a document that shows how to recreate most of the common spells using this modifiers. Using those modifiers (which are available to all casters), you can recreate the vast majority of D&D spells with a...

D&D 5E (2014) Phandelver starting to show up in the wild. NewbieDM looks to be the first!

Yeah, normally I’d agree. But the climatic big boss fight needs to be a little longer. I’m likely to be leaning heavily on Flee, Mortals in a lot of cases. So tweaking the big boss shouldn’t be a deal breaker. As long as the story (overall and individually dungeon-wise) is good, I’m still...

D&D 5E (2014) Phandelver starting to show up in the wild. NewbieDM looks to be the first!

Thanks! I appreciate the thoughts. The adventure sounds interesting, but my group have all done (and/or run LMOP) in the past. So running it straight really wouldn’t work. But I was considering keeping the town and NPCs, and finding other things for them to do until level 5. Either...

D&D 5E (2014) Phandelver starting to show up in the wild. NewbieDM looks to be the first!

So, back to the actual product. The preorder digital version went live, today, didn’t it? Does anyone have it? Any initial thoughts? Does the original adventures have a strong tie to the new stuff? If we replaced some of the Lost Mines adventures with new or reskinned bits set around...

D&D 5E (2014) Phandelver starting to show up in the wild. NewbieDM looks to be the first!

Thanks, that’s what I suspected. Since as you say, the early access digital preorders don’t even go out yet. Just got excited for a moment…

Are these review copies being sent out? Or are the actually showing up on shelves? Isn’t this a few weeks early?

D&D General Could a thief get away with a 1-man crime wave by making it so obvious that she's the 1 responsible that the police assume she's being framed

@mamba is right. No investigator is going to look a gift horse in the mouth. They’ll be happy it’s a slam dunk. And like I said, it would never get past the first crime. They’ll find the gloves, go to the obvious suspect, and when she doesn’t have an alibi, arrest her. When the crimes stop...

D&D General Could a thief get away with a 1-man crime wave by making it so obvious that she's the 1 responsible that the police assume she's being framed

I can’t imagine any law enforcement/justice system refraining from arresting someone because there was too much evidence. And it would never get to the point where there was a large amount of crimes with that much evidence. As soon as the first crime or two with sufficient evidence happened...

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

And besides, having the players come up with insane, completely off-the-wall solutions to problems they don’t have the tools to solve normally is one of the best parts of the game (for the DM and the players). In my humble opinion, of course.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

If they're not must-haves, and only will make the players lives easier (if they use them correctly), then I wouldn't say anything. That's the player's job to choose their spells, and figure out the way to put them to the best use. If they do a good job, they avoid a tougher fight. If not, so...
