    Creating some new dungeon tiles

This is the idea I have for the layout of the next two modular dungeon tiles... ...it should give quite a bit of flexibility and allow rooms of 6x5 or 6x8 or 8x8 squares to be assembled (I think :) ).

    Mapping, tiles, boards, dungeons, cities

:D ...so hopefully some of my comments haven't been totally useless. I just thought I'd offer up some of my own thoughts for your consideration, as (as you may have seen) I've had to comprimise the flexability of my own tiles in order to incorporate the walls into the design :(

    Mapping, tiles, boards, dungeons, cities

Sorry, I think I've probably only managed to confuse matters by adding the pictures (instead of them better explaining what I mean) :( I was kinda using that picture as an example of what you might find in a module... and then you would have to try and recreate that with a paper battlemap...

    Mapping, tiles, boards, dungeons, cities

:) That's OK, I'm not thinking about doing anything like this myself (as I'm happy doing what I already do - i.e. making any tiles I draw available on my website for free), I just did the above mock-up out of some of my existing stuff - just because I wanted to make sure I was understanding you...

    Mapping, tiles, boards, dungeons, cities

I think I understand a little better now... basically something similar to the old GW floorplans, but done as cheaply as possible to make them somewhat disposable... e.g. you would have lots of duplicate sheets with a basic floor pattern (something like the 1st picture below) that you could cut...

    Bane? Alternative names for deities.

I did something very similar to Lancelot for the core 3.0 gods ...and also kinda divided them into two opposing factions... so I have something like the following: Soldeus is more commonly known as the Sun God or the Shining One - though to the elves he is Anoraen and to the dwarves he is...

    Mapping, tiles, boards, dungeons, cities

I figured I'd answer here, rather than in the other post :) So, are you basically talking about something very similar to the existing WotC dungeon tiles (with regard to passages and rooms - with 'dungeon dressing' tiles that you can place on top to change the look of the room) but printed on...

    Creating some new dungeon tiles

:D ...maybe I should add a little more clutter down there, or maybe another skeleton or two. But in the meantime, this is what I've been busying myself with today... (Click on the image for a full size pdf)

    Creating some new dungeon tiles

On the scenery front I've been playing around with a few things... though I still have a way to go before I've got enough to fill a whole page (or at least enough that I'm happy with :) ). I've started off with some fairly generic stuff (a pit, a pillar, a statue) - though I might need to go...

    Creating some new dungeon tiles

Oh yeah... I'll might also try and do another 'dungeon dressing' download with maybe a few statues... or some treasure... or whatever ...so simple stuff (i.e. things that I'll be able to draw) like that might be good to hear about too :)

    Creating some new dungeon tiles

A recent thread (started by mps42) concerning some dungeon tiles I drew a few years back, has got me in the mood to have a go at creating a few more :) So I was thinking of expanding this set: PDF Dungeon Tiles However, rather than just drawing up a few more that I 'think' might be useful, I...

    Tiefling Miniatures

I don't know how much help this will be, but if you're considering a simple conversion or two then the plastic GW beastmen mini's come with a lot of different horns that might be usable... ...here's a picture I found of the whole sprue - you can see the horns on the top right...

    Dungeon tiles

So I was going to draw up a few more of these 'waterway' tiles this week, but unfortunately my desktop computer has died :( However it looks like I have been able to save the contents of the hard-drive... and as such I've updated the website with the pdf mentioned above and also this new one...

    Dungeon tiles

Looks pretty good. I suppose something similar could be done to make them into a 'river of blood' kinda thing too.

    Dungeon tiles

The floor parts did take quite some time to set up initially, as I have actually drawn the shape of each individual stone in Adobe Illustrator. I did this numerous times so that I then have around 20 individual 1x1" tiles than I can piece together to make the various shaped rooms without too...

    Dungeon tiles

OK, so the sewer tiles I mentioned yesterday don't really look much like a dirty sewer at all now that I've checked them again :( ...but they still might be usable as some kind of waterway in a dungeon or something like that. Anyway I've put them together in a pdf file (I only had to draw a...

    Dungeon tiles

Glad you like 'em :) Unfortunately I've not created any more of that style for a while now, but I've just been checking through some old files on one of my hard-drives (as I've been giving the website a bit of a facelift over the past few days, and as a result I have all my old stuff at hand)...

    Help! Town House needed

I drew a few medieval townhouse style maps a while back (D&Dified to a 5ft grid of course), and posted them in the art gallery section of the forum. They're pretty basic, but they might be of interest - so here's the links to the images to save you time (rather than searching for my old post :)...
