    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

Usually my mini's look a bit better in person than they do in the photo's ...but in this instance it's the opposite, as the skeletons on the left look a bit better in the photo than they do IRL (go figure  ). But they're just painted in the normal fashion (with regular paints/washes...

    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

OK ...I'm still just about managing to keep the #HobbyStreak going and here's what I managed to get finished this week... From left to right: Two (plastic/multi-part) skeletons from Warlord Games (formerly available from Wargames Factory). Another GW 'chainrasp' model. Another of the WG/WF...

@Baron Opal II Yeah, they are really nice models. However, I think the normal GamesWorkshop price is a bit excessive (£25 I think) - but getting them with this one-off magazine was a steal :)

2020 Pogre's Miniatures and Models - Sebeki from Crocodile Game and a Wild Boar

For me it's 'when in doubt, paint a statue' (as any mini can double as a statue :) ). Oh, and nice red on the robe/rags BTW.

    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

Week 5: More models from #1 of the Mortal Realms magazine (as you can see I've painted the Stormcast guys up as statues, as well as finishing off another one of the undead models): Though I will say that, this week I actually got a lot more done than you can see here (i.e. some stuff based...

    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

I keep meaning to pick up some of those guys. Do you think they'd fit on a similar oval base as the dread wolves I posted above (25mm x 35mm - roughly 1" x 1 & 3/8").

    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

I first heard about it on the Crafts & Mini's youtube channel (he cranks out a lot of stuff) - but apparently it's something folks (wargamers especially) have been doing for a while. I also thought it would be fun to stat up the monsters that I don't have rules for ...and so I've started to...

    2020 (mini's) hobbystreak

A few folks online are doing this #hobbystreak challenge thing - where the aim is to do something mini's related every single day ...and see how long you can keep it up (it doesn't need to be anything much - for example it can be something as simple as priming or basing a mini ...just so long as...

Round Rooms/Angled Passages (PWYW dungeon terrain)

I'm pleased to announce the release of the next batch of print & paste textures... ...and, in this latest set, we'll be adding a bit more variety to the dungeon with some circular rooms, forked passages, and so on. Just like all of the other products in the print & paste range, it's a...

Make your own stirge miniatures (PWYW)

I've taken a short break from my usual Print & Paste dungeon designs, and have decided to kick off the new year with a whole swarm of stirge miniatures. And, just like all of the other products in the Print & Paste range, it's a 'pay-what-you-want' download - so pay as much (or as little) as...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

Phew ...and that's that done. It took way longer than expected, and I'm not sure if I'll ever use it 'as is' - but it lead to a few things that I might not have thought of myself ....and was a fun little exercise nonetheless. And, I know I said I was gonna go back and add some detail to the map...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    16. Chantry At the far end of this room a headless statue stands over a stone altar - both of them blackened with fire and covered in soot (as is the floor and walls of the entire chamber). Flanking the statue upon either side is a large, mangled/melted cage-like brazier, and from behind the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    15. Chapel Two lines of pillars run down the centre of this huge chamber - between which are several rows of old pews/benches. Upon the walls are rusted sconces (many still holding old torch stubs), and at the far end of the room is a raised dais. This room is also the main lair of the kobolds...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

Gonna try and get the last few rooms of the random dungeon done this afternoon - so here goes... 14. Dressing Room Wrecked and rotten furniture adorns this room - including (what was once) a fancy chair with a cushion that looks like something might have been nesting in it, a stand upon...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

While I tend to agree with you for the most part, in this instance I'm just going with what the tables gave me for a bit of fun (as I've never rolled up a random dungeon before - so I thought I'd give it a try - nothing more, nothing less ...not trying to prove anything). And yeah, my idea of...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    13. Torture Chamber Several corroded hooks line the western wall of this chamber, and the remnants of an old torture rack lies opposite them against the eastern wall. But even more disturbing are the three giant centipedes crawling upon the wall, floor, and ceiling. The giant centipedes found...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    12. Cell Judging by the narrow slot in the door, the rusted manacles hanging from the wall, and the crude cots leaning against the back wall, this chamber appeared to have once been a prison. Furthermore, like much of this complex, the ceiling has partially collapsed - filling the room with...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    11. Hallway Here, the passage opens out into a wider hallway - one in which the floor seems to have collapsed into a natural cavern beneath - leaving just enough of a walkway on either side to facilitate safe passage. Up above the ceiling is damp and drips water down into the hole with a faint...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling up a random dungeon (finished)

    10. Training Room This large domed chamber is supported by four tall columns - each of them blackened as if by fire (fire emanating from the centre of the room). Similarly, the floor (especially near the middle of the room) is coated in a layer of ash - at the heart of which stands, what looks...
