Ceramic DM - Spring 2005 (Late Bloomer) - We have a winner.

Berandor is right... if you really don't want the PDF, just use the text file. I read it from the PDF and I think it worked well there, and that there wasn't anything that deserved disqualification. the formatting is nothing beyond what could be done on the boards, it's just done more easily in...

    Failed promises

D&Dg, definately. Epic Level Handbook too. Savage Species was a bit of a let down, just because I felt it was kind of poorly balanced. At the time, it fit my play style very well, but it just wasn't too well balanced. not unusable, but iffy. And, an odd one here: The Forgotten Realms...

Unless Italics, Underlines, bold, and red color are preserved in your copy/paste, you'll have a hard time reading it, since there are many places where the formatting is the only thing that distinguishes one characetr from another. Granted, all of these are things that could have been done in a...

[Green Ronin] Announcing the True20 Setting Search

This does look interesting, though I'm not sure how much it would benifit the writer of the setting. I think a good setting for tis will have to be a mix of a reat hook (comething to make it stand out in the book) and room for expansion (so the author can write more and profit from their...

    New Category

I would say that it might even be worth adding a Ceramic DM and an Iron DM catagory. But competitions would work too, and be a bit broader. Community is alirght, but gets a bit vague...

Ceramic DM - Spring 2005 (Late Bloomer) - We have a winner.

I just sent in my critique (and judgement, should it be needed) for the first round. Hope what insight I can give proves to be helpful. :) I'll start reading the other stories that have been posted so far in a little bit. I want to thank all the authors so far for some really cool stories that...

[d20] What don't you know? (free pdf books)

Huh. I hadn't seent his thread, but this looks like fun. I'll have to watch out for postings. :)

Cool. Thanks. It didn't make that big of a difference, but just something for the future. And for myself I;ve found it best to write Ceramic DM entries in Notepad, therefore simplifying formatting.

True 20 -- what mechanics is it missing (from BR)?

I too am interested. From the Blue Rose previews it looked like there were 'kits' for each class for different archtypes, how important were these? Does this make True20 different?

Ceramic DM - Spring 2005 (Late Bloomer) - We have a winner.

Nice to see the first story. I just read it. Of course, no comments yet, but it is good to have something to read. In the future, if possible, can we stay away from forcing the text to a color? Since you made it white instead of enworld default, when using the Stealth scheme it's hard to read...

    True20 system released by itself

Wonderful! Thanks, that helps tremendously. :) Still a great system, just a few little blemishes with editing and such.

    True20 system released by itself

Hmmmm... Okay, I'm not getting fatigue. In the description of Fatigue, it says that on a failed save, the character takes "one or more" level of fatigue. Only problem is, they never really clarify what fatigue is. Since they refer to levels, I don't see how it could be the normal fatigued state...

What do you wish was made into a game?

You know, I just started reading Green Ronin's True20 book, and so far it sems like a really good fit for Discworld. Granted, I'm just hitting the magic section now, but I've heard it's much like Psychic's Handbook, which is a good start... I liked the writing in GURPS Discworld, but the rules...

What do you wish was made into a game?

One I thought of recently: Lone Gunman RPG. Maybe d20, maybe not. It just seems like a perfect set up for a game. Set the PCs up as a strugling independent 'newspaper,' not nessecarily the Lone Gunman, but something investigating Government conspiracies and toher odd stuff. Go from there. Throw...

Defensive Roll never actually lists the bonus it should be providing. According to the feat summary, it's +1, but the feat description doesn't list it.

    True20 system released by itself

Nice so far. Enjoying it. Has anybody looked at what (if anything) is open gaming content? Will people who don't win the 'setting search' be able to use T20 in some form?

Magic - the smallest difference in the world. . . .

Assuming a substantial part of the population could cast the spell: Magic Missile would change the nature of hunters somewhat: no more need to physically overpower your prey. I suppose you'd still need to catch it, but imagine a society that just hunts by ambush: spend your days napping in the...

I am very glad I'm not writing against you... but that is one heck of a cool basis for a story. Good luck to everybody. I look forward to seeing some stories and giving some (hopefully) useful feedback.

ENnies - Ceramic DM Fundraiser -- Now ON SALE!

Just sent off about 5 of mine. Somehow I had memorized the deadline as this Friday, so I'm sorry for being late. If they're too late to be included, I'll understand, but I figured it was worth sending 'em off anyway, in case you needed some more stuff.

    The Seven Cities of Gold

I never really plyed much Werewolf, so I wouldn't know, but I do like the idea of changing it to fey and making it the city of Iron. Much better then the rather plain Werewolf thing.
