    Book of Iron Might

Book of Iron Might is a 66 page black and white well bookmarked PDF (with color cover, advertisements, and back page) from Malhavoc detailing ways to make any character a little more interesting in combat. I use the phrase "a little more interesting" because this book is unusual for a d20...

    Info on M.Cook's AE "Transcendence?"

I have to say, so far I like the looks of this. A little more support for the AU ruleset is always good, and with Arcana Evolved already on the way (or is it out yet?), I'm happy to see this ruleset developing. Plus, Malhavoc is usually a dependable publisher, and while they aren't without...

    Non-combat, non-trap, non-magic encounters.

My favorite would have to be the time my players spent in a little halfling village hiding out from a big empire. While they were laying low, various players: Taught the local children to fish Trained the town guard Helped with the harvest Had conversation with the mayor Got to be great freinds...

    2005 GenCon/ENnie Awards Judge Vote

I take great pride in having the absolute fewest votes. :)

I think BSF is very accurate as to some of the reasons for running (I share the same reasons). In addition, I think that it's important for people to run who think they have a different point of view. Most of the judges are, at leaste from my perspective, older. I like running just to give...

Yeah, I wanted to throw my hat into the ring, but I know I don't have much of a chance. I decided to run anyway since I probably won't be able to run next year, since I'll be an author, but I really don't hold out much of a chance of getting in.

    Alternative racial rules

The Iron Born in the book of Iron Might might fill this nitch. You choose a package of abilities for each one, allowing for some variations (though nothing quite so dramatic as 4 arms, if I recall correctly).

As a Discrete Math/Logic nerd, I am enjoying this thread greatly. Good stuff, and applicable to other topics as well. I've always been interested in alternate voting schemes, so I like seeing some interactive discussion on the topic. Cool topic, and thanks to Conaill, Umbran, fusangite, omokage...

Ceramic DM- The Renewal ( Final judgement posted)

Thanks to the judges, and good luck, maddman. I knew I had a weak story in many respects (though I had completely forgot about the picture as a picture violation), but I think I bit off more then I could chew with this theme. I really liked the idea, but the plot and the characters kind of...

Only problem I can see with this is that then we could get 1 vote and a total score of 2, and still have the same ratio. Granted, nothing this dramatic is likely to happen, but it still ends up giving a preference to anything with only a few high votes out of a very small number overall.

    [CAG] Deigh

Name: Deigh Roisin Deigh is slightly thin, and moves with confidence. He has dull red hair that is always a little unkempt and green eyes. He wears a leather great coat, with a shirt of fine grey chain links under it. Three daggers hang from his belt, and he carries a small mace. A length of...

    Conflict with Goblins

OKay, if Ceru doesn't give any feedback, Deigh will plan on trying to observe above ground for a while, and if he doesn't see any goblins there, he will venture underground, hiding and moving silently. His amin goal is to find one or two goblins alone, and capture at least one. If he can capture...

    Spellslinger

Spellslinger is part of the Horizons line, a serires of one shot mini-settings from Fantasy Flight Games. It promises a system for running the wildwest, complete with shootouts, guns, and drinking. Plus elves, gnomes, and all the other fantsay races and creatures you'd expect. And it delivers...

I too think this is best. People trust people like Crothian and TB (and for good reason). I don't think the voting system should force anybody to vote for a second choice, just to keep things fresh. On the other hand, I have great confidence inthe EN World populace to be willing to give new...

Campaign Idea - The Postman Cometh!

Actually, I think this might work well as a semi-longterm game, especially if the PCs move up in the world to be running the post. Read Terry Pratchett's Going Postal, and you'll have a campaign outline right there.

    Egyptian Adventures: Hamunaptra

Disclaimer: I recieved my copy of Hamunapatra as part of a contest by one of the authors. I have no other connections to the publisher or authors, and I do not believe this in any way changes my review. The most important thing about Hamunapatra is that it is a joy to read. Probably the most...

    Rate Constantine

I really liked this movie. just on its own merits, it earns a 7 or 8 in my book, and the fact that I love the subject matter made it a 9. Walked out of the thatre with some funs laughing and discussing, which is a good thing for a movie. Great take on the devil, wonderfully creepy and...

Forget By Sage This is nothing like the island of Dr. Moreau. They wanted to be human, they tried to be noble, and they had an evil Doctor playing god. We don't want to be human, we don't want to be noble, we just want to forget. Just like all the rest of you, we just want to forget. Ever...
