Luke did say he felt 5.5 was to easy. Hopefully we get some gritty goodness and a return to form.

I think its great WotC is making amends with Gygax. Hopefully the way they were treated in the past will be water under the bridge. Hopefully Luke can bring back more oldschoolisms and the 5.5 will slowly shift back in the direction 5e14 was at from the beginning.

Raven Loft probably hits that sweet spot as well as Theros in my opinion.

This, ive never really gotten into Eberron so I bought that book. It definitely felt like a 3e era book and out of place compared to the other 5e books. Definitely loaded down with text.
