    D&D 5E (2014) Strongholds & Followers: A Review

Just a note that some people (like me) don't know what "Kingdoms & Warfare" is, and the article refers to it with no explanation. I'm guessing it's another book by Colville. Is it out now, too? Is it coming later in 2019?

Official D&D Sage Advice Compendium Updated

In my experience, Relentless Endurance creates a fun play experience, while villains that can kill a PC with a single spell do not. So, I'm all for Relentless Endurance.

In my experience, Relentless Endurance creates a fun play experience, while villains that can kill a PC with a single spell do not. So, I'm all for Relentless Endurance.

Hobby Games: It Was a Very Good Year

I'm glad to hear that D&D is doing so well. I just have one quibble with the article. The mention of the Platinum Edition of Dragon Heist seems out of place, since we have no data on how well it has sold. The fact that one company is taking a risk and offering an expensive item is not proof...

Staring Directly Into the Invisible Sun -- A Review

Yes. This. 100%. This is a review of the game components, not the game. This is life in the Kickstarter era, people buying beautiful games that they never play. Surely someone here at EN World has played the game. Any thoughts or comments on what it is like?

Starfinder Paizo News Roundup: Starfinder Alien Archive 2, Rune Drive Gambit, Pathfinder Runeplague

Another Starfinder creature book is welcome, but it's irritating how thin these books are. You could combine Alien Archive 1 and 2 and I think you would still have less content than the first Pathfinder Bestiary. I'd rather have half as many Starfinder books and have them each be twice as big as...

News Digest: Pathfinder/Starfinder Adventure Paths Announced, New D&D Classic Module Conversion, Jud

Yes, the article is incorrect. The Return of the Runelords adventure path was *announced* a long time ago, probably at Gen Con 2017. It was *released* this week. Got my copy in the mail yesterday.

The Castlevania Chronicles – D&D Edition

There was also a nice 3.5 hardcover called Expedition to Castle Ravenloft.

In Search of the World of Greyhawk

Such a canonic place does exist! The early printings of B1 gives some suggested locations in the World of Greyhawk setting. Interestingly enough, later printings omit it. The Goodman Games volume Into the Unknown reprints the second printing (monochrome cover) and sixth printing (brown cover)...

The Next Dungeons & Dragons Storyline Will Be...

That's a strange picture. Check out the d10s. They're both numbered "00, 10, 20, 30..." whereas the actual set will presumably have one that's numbered "0, 1, 2, 3..." And is one of the d20s actually significantly larger than the other, or is that some weird perspective trick? I'm confused.

Let's Look At Some Monster Stat Blocks For Pathfinder 2

And this is a bit of a nitpick, but if the title of the article is "let's look at some stat blocks," shouldn't the article include more than one stat block? :-)

Let's Look At Some Monster Stat Blocks For Pathfinder 2

I'm not crazy about this use of the word "Irreligious" which means "indifferent or hostile to religion." A creature that is indifferent to religion should not be affected by a holy symbol. Being hostile to religion doesn't give someone else's religion power over you (other than perhaps to annoy...

"Stream of Many Eyes" -- WotC To Announce New Storyline In June

I love this theory! But maybe not an update of all the I modules (since we already have Ravenloft and Tomb of Annihilation has some very I1-ish stuff in it). But maybe a big adventure that re-visits lots of other places from the I series. Okay, not very likely. But the Xanathar bit seems so...

Dungeons & Dragons has 15 Million Players in NA Alone; Storyline Is "The Da Vinci Code meets Gangs o

Well, we know the launch stream is going to be called the "Stream of Many Eyes," which (best guess) means that a beholder or beholders will be involved. The Gangs of New York reference makes me wonder if Xanathar will be important to the plot in some way.

Pathfinder 2's Armor & A Preview of the Paladin!

As a GM, I have to say I am not a fan of this "spend an action to activate your shield" thing. I don't want each character's armor class to be constantly fluctuating during combat. Waaaaay too much to keep track of. I mean, a few buffs are fine; I'm used to Shield of Faith and Mage Armor. And...

Two Days Left To Vote For Most Anticipated RPG of 2018!

Setting material is easy to port to different editions, and there's so much old setting material available on DM's Guild (and in the books already on my shelves) that I'd rather have something new, but I seem to be in the minority as far as that goes. At any rate, a setting wouldn't be eligible...

Looking At The Index Card RPG

"The Index Card RPG (or ICRPG) started as an experiment in using index card sized illustrations in place of square by square combats." I don't understand this sentence. How can an illustration take the place of a combat?

D&D Reader App Coming This Fall? [UPDATED]

Unless there are special laws related to pirating books, it's probably just a misdemeanor. In most states in the U.S., the value of the thing being stolen has to be at least $500 for it to be a felony.
