D&D General Which forgotten realms map is better?

I like the second one better! Has more countries and regions on it (including the Blade Kingdoms, AKA "Little Italy"). I wish there was a snarky comment for Murghôm though

    D&D 5E (2024) My Faerûn Wishlist!

WoTC fleshed out the Lands of Intrigue, including Tethyr, in the new books! And there's info about Erlkazar -.

    D&D 5E (2024) My Faerûn Wishlist!

That looks really cool! I am currently reading the Thay book Ed Greenwood helped with, and I am enjoying it, so maybe I'll have to pick it up!

    D&D 5E (2024) My Faerûn Wishlist!

I am a big fan of the most recent Forgotten Realms books! They do an excellent job of exploring the various realms of Faerûn, and I'm thrilled to see places like Turmish and Unther back in 5e! However, even such a broad examination of Faerûn will inevitably have to leave some places out, as my...

D&D General Forgotten Realms: Real World Gods Still Present in the Old Empires

True! I had never heard of it at all before.

D&D General Forgotten Realms: Real World Gods Still Present in the Old Empires

That makes total sense, I never thought of that. Sounds like the novel they appeared in wasn't well received, so that would track.

D&D General Forgotten Realms: Real World Gods Still Present in the Old Empires

That sounds very neat!! I wonder why people don't care for it?

D&D General Forgotten Realms: Real World Gods Still Present in the Old Empires

Apologies for the late reply! I actually was googling what the Blade Kingdoms were because I had saw the label on the map and didn't know what they were. My understanding is that they're sorta Renaissance Italy-style city states of Intrigue?

    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

If they do some sort of Forgotten Realms anthology, I would sell my soul/kidney for a Djerad Thymar adventure!! Not going to happen, but the offer is there. Edit: Same with the Warlock Knights of Vaasa, BTW! I love those guys!!

Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun - First Impressions

That is understandable! I just think it is slightly odd to mention a nation with no explanation about it. It's not the only weird thing like that in these books, either. It has a stat block for Karas Chembryl, daughter of Fzoul Chembryl... but doesn't explain who Fzoul is.

Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun - First Impressions

Update: I forgot that Adventures in Faerûn mentions Halruaa and their skyships! There's a "Skyship's Glade" in Calimshan, and it mentions that Halruaan skyships dock here... but doesn't mention anything about Halruaa. Odd choice, makes me wonder if they cut some regions in the editing process?

A Deep Dive into Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun

Weird how Airspur has features of both the 4e Genasi city, and the previous theocratic Chessentan city it was in editions previously to that. It feels like an attempt at "best of both worlds", but it doesn't quite work...
