I had a long running generational campaign that started with AD&D2E, then moved to 3.x, jaunted briefly to Hero, and finally ended up using Mutants and Masterminds (first 2E, then 3E) for the "modern" era of that world which was much more Silver Age Marvel than Shadowrun.

Modern weapons would be a thing, of course, and you would have to determine what counted as "simple" vs "martial" firearms, etc. There would also probably be some changes to the skill list, so deciding who was proficient in what would be necessary.

It seems that some folks are used to MUCH MORE collaborative games than I think is typical for TTRPGs, especially traditional games like D&D. And much more collaborative cooking, for that matter.

The satanic panic was when a bunch of child care facilities were accused of satanic ritual abuse and people lost their livelihoods and businesses and even went to jail over completely made up nonsense. I remember the "D&D satanic panic" growing up and it... wasn't. It was just bible belters...

Off topic: the only fad book series I read that actually seemed to hold up to scrutiny was The Hunger Games. Solid storytelling and prose, even if the premise was nonsense.

The real important aspect of this finding is the strong suggestion that sexual reproduction manages to fix errors in transcription that cloning does not catch. I wonder if this is simply because there is, well, less transcription.
