Don't we already have the DMG II for solid DMing advice for noobs or relative noobs? How much more in depth will this be? Or is this for the sub-noob DM that hasnt even looked at his copy of the DMG yet?

I say no. Good riddance to the alignment system, I wont miss it when/if it's gone. It doesn't have to be, but it *CAN* be a straight jacket for character actions, particularly with certain GMs. Lose it and it's one less worry for players in those groups.

He didnt ask anyone to send him WOTCs rules. So I would say that he is good then.

It is definitely treading a line. Although many conversions to other systems (Savage Worlds comes to mind) are out there, and really excellent, looking for a conversion within the same system is iffy at best. I don't know if it is strictly off-limits though.

Some good advice here already. I would also give them a link to ENWORLD and one to Johnn Fours excellent roleplaying tips online. There are vast resources to be mined from both.

Joe, you know if the Arcana Evolved Battlebox contains everything the regular BB does plus the extra, or is it all tailored specifically to AE?

A Dwarven caster in Greyhawk is a very rare find to begin with. Play up the "lost tribesman" aspect of this and you might find yourself breaking out of your self-imposed mold. Get the DM to help you out by roleplaying out the glaring differences between your PC and the standard Greyhawk Dwarf.
