    D&D 5E (2024) Let's dream up new FR-style books for other Settings.

Almost definitely not, but I'd be content with a renamed version!!

The name, their Elvish appearance, and nothing else. The former are Fey elves, the latter are Chaotic Good Celestials from Arborea!

Like the Celestial eladrin, at long, long last 😭

I like this depiction of Bane's holy symbol, with the crown in the negative space between the fingers.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

Other than the lack of saurials (grumble grumble moan moan), these books are great so far!! There's lots of cool tools to use; I could always handle more options for Magical Contagions, for example, and Icewind Dale has some new fun ones! The monsters are excellent, and I love the details on...

That could be it, potentially! Szass Tam is mentioned often, although I assumed he would be anyways. Good idea!!

Nope, just the section in Arcane Empires, and the section about the Red Wizards faction.

Perhaps! I'm not sure. I find it weird that they never explained it in the book though, you'd think they'd want that lore to be readily available.

It does not. I reread that section to make sure, but it doesn't mention anything catastrophic in that section.

Having read the section in Heroes of Faerûn about the Red Wizards, I have a question: what happened to Thay that requires reconstruction? It mentions that Thay needs help rebuilding, but the gazeteer doesn't mention why. Am I missing something?

D&D General Favorite Creepy Monster To Run?

A pumpkin blight would be SO COOL!! More blights!!

D&D General Favorite Creepy Monster To Run?

Unsure if blights have been mentioned, but I find them creepy and fun!! I love how the vine blight can speak short sentences, which is spooky, and I also love that the new MM has more blights to play with, like the Gulthias blight!! I also keep using vampires as villains, over and over again. I...

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

It's a section on advice for dealing with the abundance of Forgotten Realms lore that exists, including a subsection on Experts At the Table: players who know a lot about the setting, and how to best deal with that while writing and running stories in Faerûn. It's honestly kinda handy!

That makes sense! And I look forward to seeing those phaerimm. Thanks!!

There's extensive references to the Shadovar in the books, and yet no stat blocks for them. I wonder if they'll be among the monsters included in Netheril's Fall? I also hope that supplement has beefier phaerimm in it!

So the Mulhorandi gods still share the names of the IRL Egyptian pantheon, for those who were wondering that! (I think it was this thread that was discussing that.) The section in Heroes of Faerûn about it mentions "gods with names like Anhur, Horus-Re, and Set". It goes into detail about more...
