    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

If it was perfectly clear and understandable from the beginning it wouldn't have required errata.

    Edit: Doesn't matter.

    D&D 5E (2014) Sorcerers and Versatility

I can't remember specifically which spells I really missed, just the general feeling of being hopeless. Especially when fighting monsters that did a lot of bad riders and not really having any means to deal with the situation other than damage. Like you said I've also seen a well played Abjurer...

    D&D 5E (2014) Sorcerers and Versatility

Sorcerers are not very versatile in combat when they don't have the right spells for that fight, which happens a lot later on. I felt very frustrated playing a Sorcerer from level 11-17 compared to the Wizard because your options available to you are poor.

    D&D 5E (2014) Sorcerers and Versatility

Nothing in this post matches up with my game experience with both Sorcerers and Wizards. Firstly ritual casting is amazing - there have been so many times on adventures, all the way up to level 16 now, where ritual casting has been fantastic. Secondly the limited spell selection of the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition has broken Bounded Accuracy

My first grapple was a readied action and a miss. I used inspirational and lost the contest again. Rolled a 3 then a 4. The dragon breathed on us and we took a ton of damage (yay for Tiefling, but I would have had fire shield up on a non Tiefling). On the Wizards turn - straight after the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition has broken Bounded Accuracy

You're a theory crafter. You come up with some interesting but inherently flawed white room scenarios. I'm still waiting to hear from you how your "winning" strategy of 30 skeletons would have been effective at all in the Shadow Dragon fight I ran. Even in the Dragon fight last night your...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition has broken Bounded Accuracy

We fought a CR17 Adult Red Dragon with that group and won. The thing is though it was a Mexican stand-off for ages - we used Wall of Force to protect ourselves from the Dragon's breath initially, and used full cover effectively. Eventually the DM decided to come in and attack, because we...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition has broken Bounded Accuracy

Darwin dictates Dragons ran by you wouldn't reach adult ages.

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

It made the guy in our party feel like the glass cannon mage he wanted to play - you know that archtype that is incredibly popular in CRPG gaming.

    D&D 5E (2014) 5th Edition has broken Bounded Accuracy

If I was an Adult Red Dragon my lair would be close to or inside a magma pit at the base of a volcano. I would have used Efreeti slaves (probably by giving a high level caster a favour) to forge a protective treasure room off to one side so as not to be destroyed by the magma every time the...

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

I think also there is confusion over whether or not you get the saves first - ie fail three saves and you get the disease, which makes it kind of weak. More of an out of combat / NPC type spell.

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

If I was to play a Sorcerer again, that is the kind of Sorcerer I would play. The guy in our group however has no interest in such a class. Hr wants to play the glass cannon, and I think the Sorcerer class is now a trap for players who are attracted to that style of play.

    D&D 5E (2014) Conditions vs Arcane Ward

We picture the arcane ward as a barrier that shimmers around the Wizard. It's not on his body. I think the description eludes to that, but I can't recall. Therefor it makes little sense that riders on damaging attacks effect the Wizard of they fail to bypass his ward. By the same token however...

    D&D 5E (2014) "My X is underpowered compared to Y." So?

Some people like to play damage dealing classes. When they pick one and find out later that they're not performing compared to some other damage dealing classes, they're going to be unhappy. Especially if they've invested months of time into this character.

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

The rules on contagion are far from clear, and one interpretation of that spell can be game breaking. Much worse than interpretations of Twinned spell. The fact that Crawford missed this doesn't give me any confidence in his errata methodology.

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

Yeah and now you can still multi-class your way out of this by going Warlock2/Sorc X - because I think Agonizing Blast still got a free pass - so you can still do decent damage using quickened + EB. But when we see Sorcerers who want to keep up with other classes damage wise having to MC to do...

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

Yet things like Contagion were given a free pass. Makes you wonder how much thought and discussion really went into this errata. The ruling itself isn't bothersome since we will just ignore it. I'm far more disturbed at the thought process at WoTC. Their high level approach is good, but their...

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

Poor spell selection made me feel very limited in what I could do compared to playing a Wizard. Damage could be nice with Quicken + Spell but not really on par with the big damage dealers like SS Fighters, and my resources were more limited than theirs. My big once per day is a meteor swarm and...
