I'd certainly give it a go, though to be honest I'd much rather people put their creative efforts into making 4e work for other settings like Star Wars, X-Men etc.

Are you using the new math from MM3 and MV? That speeds up combat immensely and allows the monsters to provide an appropriate level of threat. We're at level 16 and finding the new math allows combat to run smoothly.

Why are DMs going to hate vampires? Don't people like vampires?

A copy of Games Workshop's Space Hulk would give you some very nice ones. Not cheap though.

While not unexpected, the axing of the DDM line was a pretty sad day for gamers. While some pre-painted plastic alternatives exist they don't hold a candle to D&D minis. While the old model of business clearly went wrong, this doesn't mean that some alternative model couldn't potentially...

I live all the way in the UK and Auggies and Troll and Toad's P&P are still very reasonable. RPG Locker's is even better(!) hence making three orders recently :cool:.

All this controversy about the shade. Its a cool, flavourful race with abilities useful for a narrow (ish) range of characters. This is a good thing. The shade should be a niche race. Well done OP - can't wait to read more. Very excited about the vampire class too.

I was just about to ask this question myself. I knew which books had the new math but I'd really like to know which non-book monsters do too. So, if someones willing to help, which dungeon adventures have the new math? Also, do the new monsters added from the LoM cards have the new math?

Actually, the newly ascended to management Mike Mearls indicated a new direction for D&D in the year in review podcast. Perhaps the "cut" books didn't fit in with his vision for post 2010 D&D.

My greatest apologies for fueling this off topic debate, but I couldn't agree more. Especially the Descent-like bit, its one of those "DnD is like WOW" type statements. I'm not even a fan of WFRP 3rd Ed, but I certainly know that isnt true. Let the regular topic recommence. Sorry.
