Is Your Setting Pretty Much Earth?

I'm not sure if you're being facetious or not. ;) But just in case... yes, in real-world physics, ideally all things fall at the same rate because force is proportional to mass, and acceleration is proportional to force over mass (mass cancels out, becoming irrelevant). Real-world physics also...

    Show us your dice!

Here's my whole feeble collection. Somehow, 55 dice sounds like a lot, but isn't. 57 if you count my one-sided dice. ;) I got my girlfriend an amethyst set for the Christmas before last. They're nice. :) I also have a giant set of stuffed dice that she made for me. ;) --Impeesa--

Is Your Setting Pretty Much Earth?

Right, plus it's funny when people make the embarassing discovery that a well-constructed parachute makes them fall faster from the increased mass. That'll teach them for metagaming by saying their character watches birds fly or something. ;) --Impeesa--

Name Five Things You've Done That Others Probably Have Not

Well, just moments before the picture was taken, the garbage can had a few things in it: at the bottom was a 2L pop bottle filled to about 1/3 with liquid nitrogen and duct taped to some rocks (so it would sink), and the rest was full of water with a bit of dish soap to make it foam up more when...

    Too Beautiful

A portrait of one of my current characters. He's a Frenzied Berserker/Paladin (of Freedom). Angry, but righteous, and possessed of a 20 chr. I'm sure he looks great to the women of his kind... to your average humanoid, it's certainly debateable. --Impeesa--

Name Five Things You've Done That Others Probably Have Not

Hm... this is tough.. 1) Got suspended on my first day of Kindergarten. 2) Got paid to do this, repeatedly. That's basically just water exploding out of there, by the way. I'm stumped for now. I'll top this up to meet the quota later. Man, I only made it to 20. What kind of a geek am I? ;)...

    Is Time Moving Faster?

It's because you're old. Life's like a roll of toilet paper - the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes. --Impeesa--

Do you believe in the supernatural?

I get the same thing every time I see the two-slit experiment, or a magnet floating over a superconductor, or just a picture of a far-off nebula. The more you get to know the world around you, the more mind-bending it gets. :) Also, I can move things with my mind. In fact, as I type this, I am...

    Warlock Lich?

To the best of my knowledge, the caster level of your spell-like abilities doesn't count as a real caster level. The warlock is an exception here because he specifically has a 'real' caster level despite having no real spells - it's basically a class ability. --Impeesa--

    ....and the DM just gaped

So what if it's a hundred vials worth? How much is actually making contact? A vial of acid, for example, does 1d6, while bodily immersion only increases that to 10d6. This needless tragedy could have been prevented. ;) --Impeesa--

    Warlock Lich?

Here's a question for you all... are the spellcasting and caster level requirements needed to become a lich at all, or just to make the phylactery? If it's the latter, you can have lichificers in Eberron. ;) --Impeesa--

    The "Gandalf" in your campaign

In my high school homebrew (the last time I did any sort of detailed world design), there was one initially... Kirulin, a legendary archmage. Catch was, nobody was sure if he was actually alive, since he's also been implicated in the creation of that plane some 5-6000 years ago. Turns out he's...

    Palladium Fantasy home conversions?

My favorite campaign I've ever played in, and probably the longest running as well, was a Robotech game (we just started it up again, too.. I'm so happy). I've played a splash of Rifts, too, and I love some of the ideas there. If anything, I should be biased towards Palladium, but really.. Kevin...

Robotech. Accelerated Training Program module, for relatively low-level characters - a series of simulations designed to test the party in a variety of tactical situations. In one, we needed to create a distraction to draw off the defenses of a small outpost (town built up around a downed...

    Late 2005 D&D/d20 Modern Releases (Amazon.com)

    Palladium Fantasy home conversions?

Yes. Remember, if it made sense, it wouldn't really be Palladium any more. ;) --Impeesa--

What's with Monte Cook's obsession over iron?

One of exactly two things that I remember from Social Studies 9 (well, from the course material - I also remember mapping out dungeons for Friday night's game ;)) - Bismarck's blood and iron, and "Don't get stabbed in the bathtub." :D --Impeesa--
