    WotC and Buy.com

But if Chuck Norris kills Buy.com and takes their stuff, there won't be any 4E books for all the good little children :(

Keep on The Shadowfell Reminds me of:

WotC could learn a thing or two from that old D&D introductory boxed set. It was very well made.

    El Paladin Colorado

Disclaimer: I'm sick at home and a little delirious  To the Spanish-speakers out there who are familiar with the Mexican comedian, Chespirito: Have you ever had the desire to create a paladin based on his Chapulin Colorado character?

    Need some pirate minis cheap

On the less elegant side, a Target department store near where I live had a $1 bag of little plastic pirates. I snatched one up because you never know when they might come in handy ;)

    D&D 4E the 4e debate: a typology of players

How about the: "Sucker Born Every Edition" - The foolishly loyal "D&D Book of the Month" member who has amassed a large library of X or Y edition books only to find out the next edition of the game is not backwards compatible, rendering his "investment" obsolete.

Has Monte Cook made 4th ed Unnecessary?

I purchased BOXM and I'm looking forward to implementing those rules in my current 3.5 campaign. I had the opportunity to preview 4E at DDXP, and while I had fun, it rather lowered my enthusiasm for 4E. So, in the end, these two things combined have made 4E unnecessary for me for the time being.

    Starting small in the Realms...

I thought we were talking about Forgotten Realms, not Greyhawk ;) Or did the Spellplague merge the two? *shudders*

    D&D 4E My One Hope for 4E

My one hope for 4E is the "campaign promise" that it will be easier to DM and, more importantly, easier to prepare for. What this means to me is that all my OD&D, 1e, 2e, and 3e material will become a lot more accessible. I gave up on using previous edition material with my 3.5 games because...

    How soon will you switch?

I chose "as soon as it's out" because I probably will buy the books as soon as they're out. However, whether we switch in mid-campaign or start a new campaign or whatever, is really up to my game group.

    How did RPGs grab you?

It was this: The cover of a D&D Basic Set box available circa 1989. I was big into classic fantasy Nintendo games such as The Legend of Zelda and Dragon Warrior at the time, and was naturaly attracted to this game when I noticed it at a Toys r Us. I remain a D&D gamer to this day.

    fantasy worlds

In a campaign I ran a while back, the world had quite literally blown up! However, it was held together by powerful magic so the pieces of the world ended up as flying "islands" in a roughly ovoid shape (it's fantasy, work with me). Needless to say, magical airships were a big part of the...
