You are probably right. But WotC has such a huge backlog of material. Update it for D&D Beyond and I’ll happily pay.

I have wondered if more/most of the dollars currently going toward other systems--DCC, Castles&Crusades, etc.--went back to D&D if it would make financial sense for them to have a well-supported rules variant that was more old school. Probably not. Sigh. A man can dream.

Maybe Luke will make a gritter, OSR-like variant set in Greyhawk. My joy would be substantial.

I grew up reading TSR Forgotten Realms supplements that were like three columns per page of 10 point font text with very few pictures. This is not a heavy lift.
