Don't get your hopes up. From some of the folks I know at FFG, Grimm isn't that high on the list of things to get done by Gencon. If come down to Grimm or a boardgame, Grim is going to be the one pushed back. That said, I think this is the first time they have actually said it will be released...

BFRPG, IMO, is the best oldschool game out there, followed by C&C. I look forward getting some play in with this system. :D

I think there is a market for a "Bag O' Props" type of thing. Basically each bag contains a bunch of small props. Maybe an ornate key, wrinkled old leather map (some spot left blank), a letter writtne as an adventure seed, and things like that.

Yeah, while I don't play GURPS anymore I do still use the supplements for other games I play. GURPs easily has the best supplements.

I don't think it would have solved the problem you had here, but: Every party should include atleast 1 fighter or barbarian, if you use only the core books. Normally, that will go a long ways tword killing things. Beyond the big hitters, a spellcaster and a healer help.

I would just have him/her roll up a 4th level character. Divide the EL by four to choose beasties. Give them 4-5 extra skill points and disregard cross-classed rules.

If you could pull both d20& OGL (and no you can't) a lot of small publishers would go out of business and the ones that survived would either use the current OGL or design their own system.
