    Using 3rd party stuff.

For me, I mostly use WotC products when playing/Gming D&D. The books they put out , as a whole, are excellent quality. On the rare occaison that a WotC product does not suit may purposes, I may pick up a 3rd party book but most often I just homebrew. It's complete different story for d20...

Monte Cooks WoD is for 3.5

Well, it's most likely going to be OGL, which doesn't imply full compatability with either d20 modern or D&D 3.5.

This is the description WW gave out at GTS:

Monte Cooks WoD is for 3.5

Not exaclty what I meant. More like "Could Monte's take be better than the current d20 Modern?" sure it's going to have some setting and stuff, but I wonder how usefull it will be outside of the WoD.

Monte Cooks WoD is for 3.5

It will be interesting to see what Monte does with d20. Seems to be a new d20 modern to me.

How do you cope with only 4 characters in a party?

Almost every D&D game I have played in had 3-5 players, which seems to work for me. I have run/played in bigger games of 8-15 people before and didn't like it much, everything seems to take forever when you have that many people involved.

    Long distance gaming

I used a cell phone on speaker (on weekends, unlimited minutes) before and that worked well. We don't use minis much so that part isn't an issue.

What to do with a Player who doesn't like his class

I think if this isn't a regular occurance for this players, I'd let him roll up a new character if they are relatively low level.

    What's the weakest wizard specialty?

I think most of them are pretty good as long as you keep in mind the strengths of each and don't fault them for what they are not.

What is wrong with Epic Material?

I'll just echo that the D&D Epic book was just stale. I have to admit though that I hate Epic level play. Generally in my games by the time the PC's begin to get close to epic we retire them. They go out to pasture as legends and hero's, maybe great leaders. If I wanted to play god like...

    School's Out: Zombies in Suburbia

Part 2 Gabe's jaw slackened in disbelief as he backed away. "Mom? What's wrong with you?!" His eyes widened with tears welling up inside. His mother looked at him; let her arm holding the flesh fall straight down. When her arm reach full extension (knuckles towards the floor), she let her...

player vs. character knowledge: WHATABOUT DM vs npc knowledge?

I would need to know more about the specific instance you are quoting. However, from what you posted I would say the DM within the rights of NPC knowledge. I would think that a cleric would be at a huge advantage if you were trying to bluff about something related to his God.

    Post-Apocalyptic Settings

Yup, and there are some supplements for it as well. I should also mention I really like Darwin's World. Really, you can't go wrong with any of the suggestions.
