Feats: Not enough or too many?

I think the number of feats is about where it should be, but the quality and usefulness of a lot of the feats are not. Not to mention you really have to watch what feats you allow from third party books or watch the game get unbalanced.

    Help me remember an RPG??

I like Fuzion. Atleast the version that is in Cyberpunk V3.0. It's a good lite and simple system that is very flexible. I would defintely say that it is on my top 5 best system list.

    Good Superhero-Game?

Our group tried Hero once. We have one member of the group that has been a longtime fan and player of Hero so he ran the game. We sat down to generate characters and about an 1 1/2 in we just told him to bring some pregens next week because none of us was dig'n it. When we played it the next...

    Good Superhero-Game?

I have to toss in a vote for M&M, its a great game and system. Also keep an eye out for Supers INC. It is not out yet but in the near future it will be. It's a cool concept with a lite system. Most supers are genetaiclly designed by the government and large corporations and in many ways has a...

    Is D&D Your Primary RPG?

If I had a primary game I would have to say: I play the Iridium system product line the most.

    Is D&D Your Favorite RPG?

Nope, I have several games ahead of D&D. Not that I don't like D&D ( I still play atleast one campaign a year with it), but there are so many other good games out there that I enjoy more.

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

I have played some D20 Modern and a few one-shots of SC2. I will point out that I'm certain that I don't have nearly as much playing time with either of the games as most of the posters here. I have not used or seen any of the TP publsihed stuff for D20 modern and didn't use any supplements for...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

I agree both games are very good "modern" games. As Psion said, i don't believe that with either system you are in danger getting stuck with cookie cutter characters. It's more the execution, flavor, and style that spycraft has that makes it better IMO. I think that in the end you can take either...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

Thanks, nice to know how to do that.

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

Since I started following this thread I reread through parts of both books and have to ammend my thoughts a bit. SC2: I think I was a little unfair about the classes being too rigid. Given the examples in this thread (and a closer read of the classes and character generation sections of the...

Do You RPG More Than Once Per Week?

I think he's upto some sort of market research or something. Which would explain the format of the polls. pffft! Industry types.... :\

Do You RPG More Than Once Per Week?

since it is pretty clear @ this point that Mark does not believe in using more than two poll options: Once a week every week year round. Some times 2 or 3 times in one week.

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

I don't know about you, but I can tell whether or not I like a class without playing it. Since I don't like the way talent trees work, its going to be hard for me to like any d20 modern classes. I'm not saying you can't like them, I just don't like them. SC2 classes at the least work great...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

sure the basic premis fits. There have always been people who are stronger &/or faster than the average person. The problem is they are to broad. All character types that are "strong" go here, all that are agile go under "fast", that just doesn't jive for me. Not to mention the "strong" class...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

Well, as someone above already mentioned ,it is somewhat of a name convention problem for me. With SC2 at least I can tweak things a bit and get something close to what I'm looking for. I can change the Sleuth a bit and get Police,FBI, or maybe CIA agents out of it. With d20 Modern you get "...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

I'm sure that it quite possible to stat up all sorts of characters. I just would end up creating all my own classes to do it and I don't have that sort of time. I'm more on the simple test model unless there is a real good reason to go through all the fuss. There are plenty of people who like...

So how long have YOU been playing D&D?

I started back in 1990 so I guess about 16 years now. Com to think of it I have never done anything else in my life for as long as I have been playing D&D. EEK! :o

    Current print publishers

Nope, they still are doing Midnight stuff. They are however not going to do any other d20 stuff in near future. I think that the down swing in RPG sales mostly consists of the drop in D20/OGL sales. The market is flooded with d20 products now and people are being more picky about what they buy...

    D20 Modern or Spycraft II?

I pciked up both books: SC2: i liked it for the fact that I'm sure it would make for a good MI3 type of game. For generic use though, I don't like it. Classes are not flexible for one. It is easily the most complicated d20/OGL game I have ever seen. The price IIRC was $50, not exactly a one per...

    FFG 5 dollar sale!!!

Blue Planet is one of those games I put in the "interesting" slot. Some cool stuff and different setting but ultimately can't see playing. There are a lot of people to do like it though and I have certainly seen much worse. Great mining stuff for $5 if nothing else.
