Yeah probably. Probably quite a few that never read the books compared to never seeing any of the original movies. But the movies would have been hard to avoid at some point for fans of this kind of material.

Remember when 23-26 episodes a year was the norm? A show based around kids would be hard to pull of like that though.

I'll watch this and hope they stay close to the source material. With more time they can dig deeper though that really isn't going to start becoming more necessary until around the 4th book.

Glad to see Luke doing some gaming and Greyhawk stuff but I don't see myself as a customer despite it being my favorite setting. Too much baggage from later game versions and whatnot to probably have to remove. I'd rather not support WoTC in any event. But who knows until something is released.

The latest Black Company novel by Glen Cook, Lies Weeping. I did not think I would enjoy the novel told from the POV of two teenage girls but its pretty good. Kind of slow but its a 5 book story arc and it is keeping my attention.

I can see that. I know some people will over estimate how much gaming they can do and over book stuff. And while I'm spending under 400 for the Wed thru Sunday Its not a big deal if I blow a hundred more on games. My bar tab will be more than that...
