I plan on getting the new books but my game will keep running forward. I definitely plan to play older adventures that I haven't gotten the chance to run yet and I'm not seeing any major hurdles so far.

I've kinda fell back to collecting prepainted minis (gotta say the recent 2017 and up wizkids D&D minis have gotten pretty nice). Put my resin printer to work for dungeon dressing like barrels and crates etc. I definitely need a dedicated space for my mini painting, hopefully I can get back to it.

Great break down. I've never really looked too hard at this as we just play and roll with it. Analyzing it further with experience from years of play (within the life of 5e anyways) it makes sense. Some things I felt were "kinda odd" makes better sense with a deeper look. It definitely won't...

Just saw this pop up on my FB feed.

I'm updating for sure. Had this been asked around UA1 I would have said no. Seeing that it is a continuation of 5e and not a lot is changing, my answer is yes. Definitely want to see the new layout and art and let my 2014 core books enjoy retirement on the bookshelf.

Last weekends game night. The party made it to Zorzulas rest. Had to call it a night shortly after arriving. Looking forward to next weekend so we can continue!

Definitely on board for the merge. It's nice having 5e all in one place.

Dragon Spear would be nice to have and updated from Next to 5e. I don't know how well that would tie into the theme of Staircase though.

Running shattered Obelisk at the moment. Eve of ruin should be a nice way to continue if my group wants to keep developing their current characters

The 4e (I think Open Graves book) had the coolest lich themed cover out of all the books that feature a lich with the 5e DMG coming in 2nd for me. Wished they would have commissioned an art piece like that for the Vecna book.

Saltmarsh was technically their Greyhawk introduction. So it has been touched upon. Weather that's good enough for some or not is subjective.
