D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

I got heavy into A&A minis. I still have my collection and my collection of War at Sea. I just couldn't push myself to sell any of it. War at Sea was especially fun. I do kind of wish I'd gotten into the D&D minis though. Then I I would have a nice collection of monsters by now. But yeah to your...

D&D 5E (2014) Finally getting a full size map Faerun

Interesting, I didn't know 5e Relams map was so close to 2e's.

WotC Roll 4 Combat: Hasbro/WotC was offered 20 million for D&D at the nadir of 4e.

They are definitely low balling it, you have to factor in D&Beyond. Plus as others have mentioned, I just don't see splitting D&D and Magic at this point.

D&D Movie/TV Baldurs Gate 3 Live Action Series talks at Netflix

Don't know how legit the claim was but I remember reading that the writers for the Witcher didn't particularly like the source material.

D&D Movie/TV Baldurs Gate 3 Live Action Series talks at Netflix

Netflix butchered the Witcher so bad Henry left. I have no faith they will make a good BG show.

    D&D General D&D Loyalty?

I've been loyal to D&D. I'm invested in a lot of D&D so that's really the only reason I stick to it. Plus 5e is my favorite edition. I have other stuff like PF1e and OSE.

D&D 5E (2014) A playthrough of The Shattered Obelisk (spoilers)

Cool play report. A couple weeks ago we started this adventure. I started it at chpt 5 since we had already started a Lost Mines/Sunless Citadel story. We played the whole session without a single combat and everyone had a blast. There's definitely some issues with the investigations but they...

WotC Roll for Combat got to try the 3D vtt and he seems to like it. Live streaming now.

Professor Dungeon master plays the new VTT. Surprisingly, he was pretty positive about. He seemed to be happy that it has a tactile feel and attempts to simulate how a table top game would work.

D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 will now be releasing August 3rd on PC and September 6th on PS5, increased level cap, race & class details and more

Late to the party, but BG3 has finally released for us Xbox fans. When I first read about the game way back when, I gotta admit I blew it off because it didn't "look" like the old games. Man, I was wrong. I've put in only a couple hours and I'm impressed.

D&D General Why Is D&D Successful?

I feel you on this. 5e is my favorite edition.

D&D General Ollie’s has Campaign Cases for $3 and Warriors of Krynn for $10

My wife grab the monster case. Figured it wouldn't hurt to have a set of tokens. The original price was just way to much. The quality is there no doubt. At 2.99 u.s.d you can't turn it down.

D&D General Tips for Using Paper Character Sheets

Not really a ground breaking idea but I put my kids sheets in the clear document protectors. That way they can write on it with a dry erase marker and it won't be permanent.

WotC Roll for Combat got to try the 3D vtt and he seems to like it. Live streaming now.

Yeah I don't get it. There seems to be a small group waiting for the down fall of D&D. The fact that RFC was pretty positive about this has me more interested. I'm likely to take their experience and place more value on it because it genuinely seemed like they were being honest and not just...

WotC Roll for Combat got to try the 3D vtt and he seems to like it. Live streaming now.

I'm curious to hear Prof. Dungeon Master's opinion. He's been very skeptical about this.

WotC Roll for Combat got to try the 3D vtt and he seems to like it. Live streaming now.

He said it felt like playing D&D in the 80s on today's tech, that's interesting!

    D&D 5E (2024) The 2024 Core D&D Rulebooks Are Coming In May

Can't help but to think they might have pulled the trigger a little too soon. Especially given how well the 2e core rule book sold during the drama. I would think some 2e investors might have felt bad hearing a revision was coming right after deciding to buy the book. That's life I guess.
