    Libraries in your game

In my homebrew there are no public libraries available to the players. The main organized religion has some libraries but they are open to their clerics. A few people has personal libraries but access would depend of contact. A large private library is about 40-60 books.

Sure, try Dragonsfoot's forums <www.dragonsfoot.org/forums> to get you fix of pre-3e D&D, including 2nd edition AD&D.

Take the GM out of the Equation- A 3e design philosophy

I also realized quite early that removing power from the DM was one of the design goals of 3e. However, I thought that this was made to make easy to transport D&D to the computer environment, something that perhaps was Wizards objective before Hasbro sold the computer game division together with...

    RToEE good, but THIS good?

Agree. I actually thought it to be rather weak. I've read parts of it after I played with another DM and thought it to be full of crap. If I had brought it by myself I would likely give it for free to a friend if not trashed it just after reading it (I've done it several times).

    Afterlife in Dungeons and Dragons

In fact, afterlife in D&D sucks so much that more than one of my characters refused to worship any god. It is true that some clerics also refused to heal him, but he thought that accept healing would be selling himself cheap.

    ADnD 2nd ED VS. 3.5

Actually, you can. I returned to D&D with the 3rd edition, when I run a game from 1st to 7th level. Quite frankly, I didn't like it too much as it was too tactical and it replaced the myriad of AD&D rules with a myriad of rules exceptions in the guise of feats. Later, I played the Return of the...

D&D 4E How could 4E be more elegant?

I would like to see the skill system redone from the scracth. The old AD&D skill system lacked granularity and it was a mechanic in its own. However, considering that 1st edition AD&D was very close to its wargamming roots, it was serviceable. The current edition introduced a much more complex...

New d20 CoC feat: Doctor of Sciences

Considering the amount of crap a graduate student have to endure to get his degree, I am pretty much favorable to consider those with a Ph.D. to be at least third level characters.

New d20 CoC feat: Doctor of Sciences

You might consider that he is a brillant Ph.D. candidate who got a position in a small college a year before finishing his dissertation. That would be an interesting subplot to the character.

    Review of Castles & Crusades

Did I got right? There are no bestiary of any sort in the C&C PHB? I thought they were trying to produce a book comparable to the D&D Rules Cyclopedia, which not only included a bestiary but also mass combat and domain rules, as well a short introduction to the Mystara setting.

Redo 2: Select the ONE non d20 game you would play?

Call of Cthulhu or a homebrew modern campaign based in its BRP implementation. It is my favorite game as it combines a great setting and a simple yet functional rules set.

If you could choose ONE non-d20 game to play, which one would it be?

Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu, by far my favorite roleplaying game.

What do you think is the best campaign setting?

I like settings that can be played with as little additions to the core rules as possible, which I think are already bloated with rules. Also, I prefer them to be not much detailed as I don't have much time to study a setting and I prefer to improvise freely. Finally, I like them to show some...

How Many of You Ignore New Cruch?

For someone who thinks that the core books are already bloated with too many rules, I seldom care for many more crunch in any setting book. In fact, I would rather prefer one with very few adjustments and the least number of new feats.

What are the best sources for City Based games?

Lankhamar, for 1st edition AD&D is the best city supplement I've read. It is a licensed product based in Fritz Leiber stories. There is a lot to take from that book, including the culture, taxes, law, as well as a magnificent map of the whole city and smaller detailed portions you could add...

What would you like to see WotC publish next?

    1) A Greyhawk Campaign full colour hardcover book; 2) A City Campaign book (featuring the City of Greyhawk as an example); 3) A new 3.5 edition of Oriental Adventures san Rogukan setting; 4) A sort of Arabian Adventures book; and a 5) Simplified yet complete D&D Lite book to accommodate those...

    What D&D character are you?

It appears that I'm a Chaotic Good Half-elf Ranger. Well, ranger is my favorite class and I often play chaotic good characters, but never a half-elf. I near always play humans.
