AI/LLMs DLSS 5 will be the worst thing to EVER happen to video games

If you can say these things then there is simply no way you are looking at the same set of images. That is very clearly a different face, with a different nose, different lips, different cheekbones, different eyebrows, makeup... Art direction is an incredibly important piece of the whole when...

    General video game discussion

Skyrim and Fallout 4 have Creation Club access on PS5; one would hope they would bring that over for Starfield when they port it formally to the system. In any case PS5 is the only way I'm going to ultimately be able to play it if I do. I do feel like playing any Bethesda game anywhere close to...

Is there much to recommend from Starfield? I've not really heard much positive about it, even from fans of other works from the Todd factory

I'd much rather trust in the reactions of the thousands of artists railing against tools such as these than your gut

AI/LLMs DLSS 5 will be the worst thing to EVER happen to video games

The catch is that the person on the left was crafted by one or more human artists who doubtlessly spent many hours designing, crafting, and animating a character to fit within a world in a game with a distinct artistic style also developed by many human artists, and the one of the right erases...

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

Dropped Outer Worlds after the first planet; I love the setting and especially the characters but boy has the gameplay not aged well at all. Meanwhile Skyrim remains fun as hell and I've so far made it to the mid-40's levels without going stealth archer, which is absolutely a record for me.

    The Next TTRPG (nomenclature)

I was about to say, I'm shocked to hear anyone having trouble recruiting players in a university town. Cal Poly Humboldt is like a sixth of the size of OSU and we're literally overflowing with D&D groups

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Roland Emmerich remains one of the most underappreciated directors of our time, and this was his magnum opus. Shame he peaked here, then decided to whitewash Stonewall and has been paying for it ever since

AI/LLMs Hasbro CEO Reiterates That AI Isn't Used to Make D&D Because of the Game's Audience and Creators

Of course since the one of the greatest indicators of tobacco use is low socioeconomic status, excise taxes for tobacco are some of the most inherently regressive taxes in the US, which is really saying something

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yeah it doesn't matter what study you're following, in every case we're the only animal on the list killing via direct trauma, the rest are either venomous (snakes at #3, scorpions typically at #8); vectors for disease [mosquitos #1, dogs #4(rabies), freshwater snails #5, assassin bugs & tsetse...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

My favorite deadly animal fact is that you'd think "which animal kills the most humans" would be a trick question and the answer would be "other humans" but we're actually only in second place and it isn't even all that close

Worth pointing out too the part where he talks about how "separating the art from the artist" means you can sign a deal that will pump millions and millions into active hate groups as long as it also makes your own business a boatload of money too

AI/LLMs Hasbro CEO Says AI Integration Has Been "A Clear Success"

https://www.theverge.com/podcast/890703/hasbro-toys-games-magic-exodus-ai-tariffs Cocks is still out here banging the AI drum while also insisting that dumping a boatload of money on J.K. Rowling's front porch is "separating the art from the artist" and it's really got me thinking that the D&D...
