Better than generic monsters that get hacked down and have lost the flavor they had for 5 editions. They also would suffer from trolls u that half damage from a coup de grace won’t be fatal. Silver or magic weapons or spells would be required to finish them off.

I find this odd as a criticism of 2nd edition was too many campaign settings that split the player base.

lycanthropes should have half damage from normal weapons but require defeat to be administered from a silver weapon, magic weapon or magic. Perhaps give them fast healing 10 that is reduced by spells, magic or silver weapons.

I can make the exact same argument for a lycanthrope. Even then there is no such thing as complete immunity. Martials can get silver or magic weapons so your comparison falls flat.

I really dislike the loss of immunity to non silvered or magic weapons. I would at least give them resistance. It seems like the monk and warlock abilities to do magic damage are now class ribbons instead of useful abilities.

It works great. There was a hiccup for the new PHB rules that lasted about a week. I prefer running in D&D Beyond with the maps update.
