    Adventure Path Three: You'd Do...

I'm going to call it a hunch, but I doubt we're going to see any reprints or revamps for the next AP. Maybe as a standalone adventure...but not as an AP. You're pretty much guaranteed 3 things: it'll require no more than the 3 core books to play and won't call on concepts from variant books...

    Adventure Path Three: You'd Do...

I'm going to sound like the weirdo here, but I actually like when a campaign isn't super far-reaching and focuses on one region. I suspect Age of Worms will be just about the right balance. I like my players to develop ties to the towns and people they visit throughout a campaign, and one of the...

    Adventure Path Three: You'd Do...

Why do you think I bought the Rod of Seven Parts PDF last night? :D I just have two hopes/requests for the next adventure path. Let me write an adventure. No cults. If you break the last two adventure paths down, they bascially boil down to a planar/demon themed campaign (Shackled City) and...

I need a small port city.

Let me also suggest Liberty, the city from The Game Mechanics' City Quarters series. Not only are they great products that give you tons of detail, you can also use the books as modular city sections for OTHER cities.

    Anyone have D20 Cyberscape?

When I wrote the section on the VRNet I tried to emphasize that it's like the internet -- not just hackers use it, but everyone. It's a place to do research, meet people, gather information, etc. Now, your hacker-type characters are, of course, going to be very powerful there, but it was...

Does Anyone Else Find Con Games To Suck?

I've run some pretty crappy games at GenCon before. A while back I ran some Star Wars adventures that were just short and pointless, mostly because I had no idea how long to make an adventure for a con. However, I've run a moderately successful Mutants and Masterminds game the last two years...

[2006] Renting a floor at the Embassy Suites

I could be down for this, if we stay in the Embassy Suites again. I'll be honest, our group (5 rooms) had no end of trouble this year, because I wanted to pay for all 5 rooms but they ended up trying to charge my card like 20 times, then tried to tell me it was my fault even though the bank said...

Create a Setting : Using Existing d20 Resources!

For the last 14 months I've been running the Shackled City campaign in just such a campaign setting. Since that campaign wrapped up last night (good timing!) I'll also be running the Age of Worms adventure path in this same campaign setting. The original idea was that I had a bunch of books...

How do I love GenCon? Let me count the ways!

It was good seeing everyone again, if only briefly. Every time I walked by the ENnies booth to get my badge it was packed with people, so I kept saying "I'll get it next time I walk by" and never did. :( Sorry about that. Still, it was good to see everyone. I'll post more later, but I just got...

d20 Future: Mutants as a Separate Species

There's actually going to be a system in the Future Player's Companion Volume 3 that allows you to do just this, so hopefully you won't have long to wait.

    GenCon Name Badges

Screen name: Moridin Real name: Rodney Thompson Looking forward to seeing you all again. My name badge from last year has vanished into the nether reaches of my closet, never to be heard from again.

    Wednesday Night ENworld Gathering

I'll be sure and drop by. After all, it's going to only require me to go up or down an elevator, so hey, why not?

    d20 Future Tech

While obviously the book is about a whole lot of new gear (as the product description makes obvious), it definitely also includes new mechanics and spin-off mechanics from d20 Future. Obviously I can't say any more about it at the moment, but there will be some new mechanics in there.

I've Demoed Serenity RPG- Any questions?

Since your skill improvements are based on scaling up your dice -- moving from d2 to d4 to d6 to d8 etc. -- I'd say that's what we'll see for character advancement. You will likely spend plot points to increase your skills, or sub-skills (of which I believe there are several).

I've Demoed Serenity RPG- Any questions?

After speaking with one of the guys running the Serenity demos, apparently the character advancement rules are intimately tied in with your ability to roleplay your character. You get these "plot points" during gameplay as a reward for good roleplaying (i.e. accurately portraying your...

I've Demoed Serenity RPG- Any questions?

Which demo did you play in? I also played it at Origins, and can answer any questions.

    Back from Origins!

Whew, Origins came and went in a hurry. I had fun as well, though the only ENWorlder I bumped into was HellHound. I caught him between games of...IceCastles? I think that was the name. Otherwise, I must have been too blind to see the few members I recognized from GenCon and Origins last year...

    EnWorlders at Origins?

Any night is good for me. All my games end by 6:00 every day except Friday...no idea how long the Star Wars minis tournament is supposed to last. And I'm definitely down for Big Bar on 2, where I spent most of the con last year. Anyone want to organize something real, or is it going to be...

    EnWorlders at Origins?

I'd definitely be up for an ENWorld dinner one night, especially given that I'm usually so busy at GenCon that I can't swing such things. Any chance of picking a night we're not all busy/leaving town?
