    D&D 5E (2024) Nerf to magic users?

Magic-users were still insane back then once they reached high level.

AI is stealing writers’ words and jobs…

There are a few countries where religion is growing, such as India and Russia, but globally, the tendency is the opposite, particularly in countries like the United States, where it's been on a slower decline for a long time, but where this decline has accelerated in recent yeas. Due to...

    Meg2

I like how at one point there's randomly a giant octopus attacking an island and no one even comments on its existence.

AI is stealing writers’ words and jobs…

Religion's decline is slow and it will likely never disappear. It's also easy to conceive scenarios where an existing or a newly invented religion spreads like wildfire similar to how Christianity once did.

AI is stealing writers’ words and jobs…

Human morality can do a 180 en masse given the flimsiest of excuses, whether religion is involved or not. I don't think it will take much to have a more moral AI. However, humans might subjectively deem it wrong, even if the AI is objectively moral based on the parameters given to it.

D&D General BG3 Massive Spoiler Thread

Maybe they're really good at stealth and are sneaking around near you, just waiting for you to use the horn. When you return to their normal spot they just go there quickly and pretend to have been there all the time.

MCDM's New Tactical TTRPG Hits $1M Crowdfunding On First Day!

Hmm, the obvious question is then what prevents PCs from artificially extending fights, attacking rats or “dueling” each other to build up resources ahead of the next battle? Perhaps the GM can deem it “unheroic” when it feels like clear abuse?

Dread Warriors from HeroQuest. Honestly kind of painful to paint due to the many ridges and uneven molds.

AI is stealing writers’ words and jobs…

As someone who uses AI a lot when writing stuff for games I run, I'm fairly certain I have never been able to simply copy-paste even a single sentence it has produced and be satisfied with that. I generally use it for brainstorming things like area descriptions, and fine it useful to that end...

AI is stealing writers’ words and jobs…

Depending on how "soul" is defined, it doesn't appear to be a requisite for anything. I'm also convinced that if the Mona Lisa didn't already exist, and an AI produced it, it would by default not be considered a master piece on account of it being produced by an AI.

MCDM's New Tactical TTRPG Hits $1M Crowdfunding On First Day!

I don't see the big deal about always hitting. It comes out to the same whether you hit always for less damage or hit less but deal more damage when you do. It averages out to the same, it's just more predictable with automatic hits, and you need to update HP more frequently. Regardless, the...
