Also a great way to have weak monsters part of a dangerous dungeon. They might run when they see the PCs, and they might die in 1 hit. But the dungeon is still challenging because of their traps.

The stated scenario doesn't include a lock, so no picking would be required. But say we add a lock, and that the trap triggers by messing with the lock. I don't think you would be able to pick a lock while wearing steel gauntlets, although perhaps simply wiggling a lockpick inside the lock...

I don't know what that means. Like an AI that doesn't have the programming needed to make it capable of producing art on its own, but magically does so anyway? Or an AI created by another AI to produce art on its own, and therefore it's another AI mandating something, rather than a human?

Gives me an idea for a trap that releases a gas capable of animating the dead. The more who fall prey to it, the more dangerous it becomes.

The trap is triggered automatically (no disarm check), but the needle harmlessly glances off the gauntlet. Good on the rogue player for interacting with the game world.

This is trivial for them, but it’s a waste of processing power to have an AI produce arbitrary art no one is asking for.
