D&D 3.x What was the name of the book that tried to deconstruct AC/Saves/Etc?

Yes, that is exactly the document I remember, tables and all. As luck would have it Drive Thru RPG even remembers that I purchased it. Thanks!

D&D 3.x What was the name of the book that tried to deconstruct AC/Saves/Etc?

Years ago, pre 4e and Pathfinder, I recall someone had published a book that had tables of all the sort of expected ranges for various modifiers in 3rd or 3.5 edition (I forget which). I'm trying to find it as a reference for a discussion about older editions.

Harshnag responds, "I don't know when this place would have been more occupied. Hundreds of years at least." After a lengthy walk you come across the first area with something of note, a tunnel into the eye. The tunnel is 10-foot-high, 5-foot-wide (too narrow for Harshnag). Due to the icy and...

Shard of the Ise Rune Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement) This shard of ice is long and slender, roughly the size of a dagger. The ise (ice) rune glows within it. The shard has the following properties, which work only while it’s on your person. Frigid Touch. As an action, you can...

Thaliss makes his mud hut and the creature attack Kubeba again, this time for 9. Maighan has an action, then the creature gets its normal turn.

D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil II

The lightning bolt crashes over the creature, though you can't tell if it was harmed. Kubeba rages and the earthen armored creature clashes with him half-way between each other. Kubeba attack recklessly. The first attack deals half damage due to resistance (8 after), but also seems to shake off...

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

The third room on the right contains a pair of sculpted stone couches that double as beds. Frost covers everything. There is a stitched leather sack on one of the beds. The sack has been here for months, left behind by an old and forgetful frost giant. The sack contains a shard of the ise rune...

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

Harshnag shrugs and responds, "Looks like he's trying to catch something." This upstairs hallway is structurally similar to the one below, except that much of it has collapsed, leaving a few rooms to the east and west. Standing in an alcove at the south end of the hall is a life-size statue of...

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

A 60-foot-high hall stretches northward. The hall is inclined at a slight angle, so that the floor in the north end of the hall is higher than in the south end. The slope isn’t so great that the frost on the floor presents a hazard. Fourteen 30-foot-tall archways spaced along the west and east...

D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil II

A single sentry stands at the read in this room, almost another statue. It's arms and armor seem covered in dust and stone, but it moves fluidly along with the armor.

The detect magic spell reveals an aura of conjuration magic around the archway. Harshnag goes ahead and tries putting his (relative to the statue) smaller axe into the arms of the statue of the frost giant, but nothing seems to happen.

The area is fairly well traveled, though there is definitely more traffic between the south and eastern paths than the north.

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

Harshnag accepts the offer of some healing. I've added a light source to the room to make this visible, but I imagine it's a lot creepier in character since it's so dark. Along the eastern wall is an archway with six runes. Harshnag identifies that one of the runes is Ise, the giant word for...

    D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

The parties attacks fell two of the barbarians. Davaros also makes attacks against the barbarians remaining. Another one falls. One lands a hit on Davaros for 5, another lands a hit on Harshnag for 11, and finally one lands a hit on Whistler for 7. Harshnag makes two more attacks and fells...
