Seems like there's something of a mini renaissance, what with Remender's excellent Fear Agent, Casey's Godland, and Niles and Jane's Bad Planet coming up. I also liked Adam Strange and Space Ghost at DC. So, what do people think of what's out there right now, and what else should I be reading?

Just wondering what people's experiences are with the various new races -- which are easier to play, which are more difficult? Are there one or two you would recommend for a beginner? And, of course, which, in your personal experience, are the most fun? Thanks!

Up now at milehighcomics: JMS has got a strong track-record these days with the Supreme Power series. I think I'll wait to see what the buzz on Strange is before I decide whether or not to pick it up, though.

For the lovers, the haters, and the merely curious: Ultimate X-Men #50. Brian Vaughan and Andy Kubert make a pretty good team, but they haven't really grabbed me yet. Even Millar's run on the book was uneven. Not saying I don't like it, though -- it definitely has its moments.
