    [Prime] Citadel

We watched it last Summer and it was almost good. Recently, we watched Citadel Diana (taking place in Italy) and Citadel Honey Bunny (taking place in India), which are more low-budget. Elements of Honey Bunny will be ported into season 2 of Citadel. Did you like it? It would make a great...

    The Bondsman (Prime)

We finished watching the first season last night. It was entertaining. Kevin Bacon plays an anti-hero bounty hunter. With his rugged and tired look, he is perfect for the role. If you liked Supernatural, you might like this. The ending allows for a second season. No idea if it will continue.

How many years does it take for an RPG to become nostalgic, for you?

Looking back at my very long RPG GM career, I'm obviosuly nostalgic of the early 80s (1980-1984) and all the RPGs I played with my friends. It was the discovery phase. Nothing in the 90s triggers nostaglia. I was busy studying, starting my career. There was AD&D 2e but it doesn't trigger the...

    Playing without the GM present?

A long time ago, in the mid-80s, our AD&D characters acquired a valley. It had a ruined castle and a small farmer community. We divided the valley into four sectors, one for each character. One afternoon, all the players were in a coffee shop. We had just seen a movie. The GM was not present...

[Solo] Barbarian Prince Ultimate Edition 2024

I'm really enjoying the new optional rules of this classic game published in 1981. Four different ways to win instead of just one. Luck points. One Advantage Feat at the start of the game and one Combat tactic. You can now earn XPs and then buy other Combat tactics. They also added new events...

Please don't say 'Hit the Fat'

Minor pet peeve about Coup de Grâce prononciation. I'm 95% sure those who think they are saying 'coup de grâce' correctly are not. To my French-speaking ear, you are saying 'Hit the Fat'. You are saying Gras = Fat. Not Grâce = Mercy. You must pronounce the second syllable, the 'ce'.

    Beacon 23 (Prime)

It was very promising but it was too slow without much character development. We gave season 2 a chance to see if they could salvage it but it suffered from the same problems. We gave up after episode 2. Instead, we read the episode's description on Wikipedia. Glad we did. Did you like it?
