I've heard them mentioned a lot as I set about building my rogue/wizard/arcane trickster, but how do they actually work? do ranged weapon feats apply to "ray" spells or something? it seems like there aren't all that many rays to begin with.

is there a way? it seems that while other classes have a constantly expanding bag of tricks, whether it's from new spell levels or new base class abilities or both, it seems like fighters have essentially the same gameplay style from level 1 through level 20, just with more hitpoints and without...

physically :) I keep binders for each of my characters, with character sheets, notes, and print-outs of any relevant sections of books (class description, abilities, spells, etc). it saves my back from having to lug around a bunch of books when I can just slip a binder into my backpack instead...
