What are the most useful, overpowered, or fun magic item combinations out there? I've seen a lot of these threads from back in 2009 so I'm wondering how the ranks have changed what with Mordenkainen's magnificent emporium and other new books.

My players are soon to reach the epic tier. One of them wants to become an exarch of kord (the demi-god epic destiny) so i want them to have plot reason and experience with Kord. However, I can't think of a compelling epic hook for Kord.
