You probably know about them, but on the off chance - have you tried microsol and microset?

D&D 5E Quests From The Infinite Staircase

In fairness, one could assume WotC ended that licensing relationship for a reason.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

"Delta Green: The Conspiracy". Even if I never convince anyone to play Delta Green with me, it's just a great read.

    Tell me about Knave spells

I don't know how I forgot to mention this one: Snail Knight: In 10 minutes, a knight astride a giant snail rides into view. He is able to answer most questions related to quests and chivalry, and may aid you for INT days if he finds you worthy. The snail cannot move faster than a walk.

    Tell me about Knave spells

Spells / spellbooks in Knave each take up an inventory slot, and allow the person carrying it to cast the spell as an action - if something needs to refer to the level of a spell, it's the casters INT, or any number lower than that. A few personal favorites: Catherine: A woman wearing a blue...

D&D General io9: 2023 Should Have Been D&D's Best Year, Until It Wasn't

I mean, joking aside, we have seen several countries create video games as tools of propaganda. It's weirdly not outside the realm of possibility that we could see something like that happen.

D&D General io9: 2023 Should Have Been D&D's Best Year, Until It Wasn't

To both of your points, Disney getting into the CCG game is also direct proof to people at WotC that Meta or Microsoft might.

D&D General io9: 2023 Should Have Been D&D's Best Year, Until It Wasn't

I have a pretty easy time imagining a WotC exec, probably on the Magic side of the house, saying to themselves, "OK people, battlestations! The freaking House of Mouse is coming to eat our lunch, we need to lock down everything we can right now! I ... ... we let people do what!?"

D&D General io9: 2023 Should Have Been D&D's Best Year, Until It Wasn't

I genuinely suspect that 90% of the decision making around the OGL was a reaction to Lorcana, rather than anything in the TTRPG space.

D&D 5E When did you last buy a WotC D&D5e product? (not a third party or DM Guild)

Fizban's, so October of 2021. I honestly hand't thought of how long it's been since I've bought a 5e book.

D&D General Ollie’s has Campaign Cases for $3 and Warriors of Krynn for $10

Something I'm not sure I've seen people point out - aren't the campaign cases and the Dragonlance board game the three items WotC was experimenting with direct to consumer sale of?

WotC [Updated!] Hasbro Laying Off 1,100 Employees

I'm honestly pretty surprised - I would have guessed if they let anyone go, it would have been back-of-house people.
