    Wiki Wiki Wiki

Holy crap! I'm coming out of a long lurk mode just to say, this is most impressive. Michael, having worked with MediaWiki in the past, I'm floored by how well you've managed to theme it and integrate it into the main website... Not to mention, I think it almost literally puts mine out of...

Question to the new Red Dragon Modell

Although the base is actually larger than it should be -- they actually state that in the documentation that comes with the miniature. The Colossal Red Dragon miniature uses an 8"x8" base (40'x40' in scale), whereas the actual Colossal space is 6"x6" (30'x30')... From the documentation: Base...

Ranged sneak attacks - what's your experience?

Said argument probably ignores the word from the horse's mouth on the specific definition of flanking as it pertains to sneak attacks... :) Creatures become susceptible to sneak attacks when flanked because they must divide their attention between two or more opponents whose relative positions...

    Extra Domain as a feat?

According to WotC's Feat Index, there is a feat called Bonus Domain in two separate sources: Epic Level Handbook (p51) and Complete Divine (p89).

Should undead be allowed to speak?

Scene from an undead uprising: Leader: What do we want? Zombies: BRAAAAINS! Leader: When do we want it? Zombies: BRAAAAINS! [EDIT] What makes this even more funny is, this has actually happened...

So a Keen Rapier Crits on....

I still have nightmares about the fellow player with a +1 keen thundering shocking burst falchion. Crit on 15-20, crits do 4d4+1d10+1d8+2+(3*STR). I can't imagine what that would be like if keen and improved crit stacked, especially if he swapped the falchion out for a scythe, doing...

Does a limb provoke/take an AOO?

Personally, I'd rule that a creature can only bend down and pick up an item in its square (or one of its squares for Large or bigger), at least with any ease. If a character really wanted to pull some sort of tricky reach-and-grab from an adjacent square (within unarmed Reach), I'd make them...

House Rulebook Design & Sample HR Book Template

My campaign sourcebooks (plural) are somewhat out-of-date, and I've been forced to start a rewrite from scratch due to some recent computer issues. I've had many of the options above, as my world is custom-designed and has been in play in one form or another since 1989, although it no longer...

Anyone want to be a Newshound?

I'm interested in the General RPG news -- I'm sure you have plenty of d20 coverage, and I'm a bit behind on d20 news usually, since I'm not currently running a D&D game. I'm always hitting up news on Shadowrun, and I'm known to scan around the Steve Jackson website every so often. Plus, with...

    Greenbound Summoning

Aside from the initial paragraphs in the Feats chapter, which pretty much say that the DM is final arbiter on whether the players have access to any of these lost feats, there are no prereqs. I'd ask your DM first, and it might be good to have a backstory reason why your character would have...

Looking for D&D in Frederick, MD

Sorry, we're a bit further west than Hagerstown, but if you're interested, there's a few good games up in Cumberland...friend of mine opened a FLGS this year, and has two game tables in the shop, one is usually dominated by the Warhammer crew, and the other one sees games ranging from D&D to...

How long have you been posting on ENWorld?

I've been on here since the Noah boards, just before 3E first came out... Although, for the last year or two, I've only had time to lurk, and maybe post once in a blue moon...

    adamantine non-ferrous? [2003 thread]

If you can find an old copy lying around, I recommend that you check out "The Compleat Alchemist" by Pandevelopment, which joined with Wizards of the Coast before the book went out of print. It was a sourcebook created in the old days of AD&D that was meant to be compatible with any fantasy or...

    adamantine non-ferrous? [2003 thread]

Cool, glad to know I'm not the only GM that does this. I've got quite a list of True Earths in my game... Anyway, I tend to treat adamantite as the raw ore of True Iron formed by exposure of iron deposits to emanations from the elemental plane of Earth. Any item forged from this ore must be...

    Hydra question (2003 thread)

Yes, in 3.5 hydras have been updated -- all have Fast Healing and can regrow heads. Makes for a more formidable foe, and at first glance may even seem extremely deady for their CRs. But I'd say the CRs are dead on, maybe a bit underpowered unless you don't have any frontline meatshield types...
