Fantasy or sci-fi boardgames with the highest replayability?

Possible. S'all blurry now... :p To be honest, it might have been an hour, or maybe three? Time seemed to have been frozen. (Pardon the very late answer/thread resurrect, but e-mail notification never worked with my account.)

    Echoes of Thunder, Exponential damage

I too have asked CS about this. The answer is also from Evan T. The short of it is: The damage bonus is triggered by the hit and applies immediately on the damage roll; The bonus is gained only once per single use of a thunder power, even if it hits more than one target; The bonus damage is...

Visions of Avarice trivializes melee encounters?

That's not correct in both cases. The zone created by VoA is 1 square (not a burst 1): the range line is "1 square within 10 squares". It's like Cloud of Daggers. The VoA attack is a burst 5 originating from this 1 square zone, and pulls hit enemies 3 squares toward the zone. To be...

Fantasy or sci-fi boardgames with the highest replayability?

There are. Probably because Talisman is glorified snakes & ladders. Played it once. I'd eat my left arm to get that hour back and do something else with it.

Visions of Avarice trivializes melee encounters?

You have a good point. Maybe, then, an encounter where it is not immediately obvious that VoA is a poor choice? That could happen. High Will defenses and teleport powers, for example, won't be apparent until used.

Visions of Avarice trivializes melee encounters?

Anyone has seen Visions of Avarice in action with an encounter reasonably built to counter it?

Visions of Avarice trivializes melee encounters?

Play experience with Visions of Avarice In our game (now 11th level), it's been used 3 times. There is no doubt, it is a very effective power. Simply put, it allows an encounter to be dealt with in smaller chunks. It's a divide and conquer power. You don't have to catch everyone for it to be...

Any good 4e adventures that arent dungeon crawls?

Just want to pop in and say that LBoA was a really good adventure. Really creepy, with a permeating sense of danger at every corner, and a most shocking ending. Good job, Ari, and if you can, keep that kind of stuff coming! I hope you write a few of those for Eberron...

    Intelligent Blademaster Feat confused :)

True. All marks do their intended job when not triggered. I would add that the shielding swordmage's mark is currently the only one that defends even when triggered (by reducing damage dealt). All the others don't defend: they punish. This opens up new tactics for a shielding swordmage.

    Intelligent Blademaster Feat confused :)

I find that feat extremely useful. As a shielding swordmage, I find myself charging a lot more than I thought I would. I'll move close enough to an enemy (move action), mark it with the Aegis of Shielding (minor action) and then charge another enemy (standard action). This puts some distance...

Diagonal Movement - Better or Worse?

I can relate to anyone who's geometrically bothered by the 1:1 move rule. I thought it was unnecessary and excessive simplification, did not believe the "it's faster" arguments, and thought it would cause so much glaring weirdness it would be impossible not to notice and get used to. I...

    Priority of Immediate Reactions?

That's how I'd rule it too. In a Ready Action, the Immediate Reaction is done on the same initiative count as the trigger. The goblin and the fighter are effectively acting on the same count, so I'd resolve the tie without additional dice rolling because the existing initiative tie breaker (init...
