The road to hell is paved with good intentions... and many, many bad one too for that matter Actions have consequences, if a thief steals from a poor innkeeper, next time the players return to the inn they find it closed and boarded up, if they ask the discover that the innkeeper has had to...

    Feats a Warlock should take?

My warlock took the acquire familiar feet and I had a raven as a familiar, since it was able to speak common, I pursaded my GM that the raven could pronounce pretty much any word (with practice) so my raven would fly arround the battlefied with a wand, activating it using my use magic device skill.

Worst RPG System You Ever Palyed?

I read some of FATAL, and it’s diabolical. I rolled up a character for Rolemaster and it was hard work (never played it). Space Opera...ugh...we recently played a game of it, we were desperately looking for the skill system...but it doesn't seem to have one. The Babylon project is fairly bad...

Anyone want to help adjudicate a Wish spell?

Amen! Its not like wish doesn't have a cost (5000 XP). Don't use wishes to screw over your players...its not big and it not clever.

Is there a feat for this?

The feat in races of destiny is able learner, it can only be taken at level 1 and allows you buy cross class skills at a 1:1 basis, if the skills were part of any class you previously had, then you may you may buy them up to the normal level+3. If you made the character prior to complete...

Well your players are going to be in for a really rough time...and by rough time I mean stick their heads between their legs and kiss their asses’ goodbye... Energy Enhancements are too good at +1 (math)

While energy weapons seem great at first sight, there is an oft overlooked aspect to them From the SRD: Flaming: Upon command, a flaming weapon is sheathed in fire Activating a command word magic item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity

    Your favourite traps

I always liked the pitch black room with the symbol of death, and for added fun the next pitch black room is actually a sphere of annihilation, but for all time comedy traps the pit of whipped cream has to be a winner, try climbing out when covered in slippery whipped cream, and you can...

Warlock - Frightening or Sickening Blast?

From a mechanical point of view the fear effect is probably better, but I chose sickening blast because my GM is more likely to have enemies flee when the battle turns against them and they are under a "limited" fear effect.

    Rogue Junk...

I think you will find those spells in the Complete Adventurer. The skullclan hunter is the PrC that can sneak attack undead.

    Evil PC's

As long as you aren't looking to backstab the other PCs, or do something monumentally stupid, like betraying your party just before the "final" encounter, evil PCs can make a refreshing change. I had an evil mage, he didn't want to take over the world, he was extremely reliable, and he would...

    [Eberron] Looting the Warforged

I don't see the problem. Normally adamantine is very difficult to get hold of, if a player wants to allow an armour smith to flay him, so be it. However warforged aren’t going to be pure Adamantine, so the metal will need to be extracted by various alchemical and metallurgical processes, so in...

Why So many Wu jen only spell

Make your case to the GM. As a GM I would only allow you have such spells if you had some background reason for it, or if you had witnessed such spells firsthand, YMMV.

Why So many Wu jen only spell

Wu Jen are basically elemental spell casters (although they have an extra element: wood (for some reason)), the reason that so many of the spells are Wu Jen only is so that when you fight a Wu Jen you don't really know what to expect, when you fight a normal spell caster you expect to be...

Spell Costs in PHB Too Low?

Does the party cleric charge the other PCs for spells? Probably not, a local cleric probably won't charge parishioners for his spells either, why? because they provide value added service to the community, in the same way a fighter goes up front and takes all the damage for a party. Raise...

    Hide Scent?

The 0 level spell Prestidigitation, should be able to change the smell of something so that it matches the enviroment or at least not smell like rotting meat, it may only last an hour but it should works a treat.

    Help with AC?

If your GM allows stuff from the splat books, go for improved buckler defence, it knocks 1 off your to hit rolls but allows you to use a shield.

Do you miss old D&D class names?

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. So whats in a name? I'm glad the term thief was dumped since not every 3.x rogue feels the need to steal from the party but that was probably due to the fact that 1st/2nd ed thieves were rewarded for their filching. I'm all for titles but not...
