Just discovered Inspirisles. A TTRPG that helps teach sign language (to cast spells)

It arrived. Digest sized: about 200 pages. It’s cute. Kids gain powers and go fight the fantasy evil. Cute art something all ages can enjoy if you get in the headspace. Looking forward to reading it.

D&D 5E (2024) Mearls has some Interesting Ideals about how to fix high level wizards.

I know WotC wouldn't want to split the fans but I think D&D could use a new "Basic (BECMI)" system. Trim the fat. Simplify. Like there is regular ultra crunch Shadowrun and then there is Shadowrun Anarchy (new 2E!) which is still SR but loses the ultra crunch and plays 500% better. On one...

D&D 5E (2024) Mearls has some Interesting Ideals about how to fix high level wizards.

One of the reasons I stopped playing 5E mainly. It's bloated AF. Even level 1 characters have way to many abilities and powers etc. Get a few levels in and it's worse. I recall my players constantly forgetting abilities etc.

    D&D 5E (2024) How I would do 6E.

True, but as mentioned some people just like to stick to a brand name.

    D&D 5E (2024) How I would do 6E.

Step 1: Get Kelsey Dionne to create it. Step 2: Profit

Just discovered Inspirisles. A TTRPG that helps teach sign language (to cast spells)

Saw a random advert on FB for Inspirisles. An all ages RPG that teaches some sign language basics while playing the game. Inspirisles Link After seeing the movie CODA which has become one of my GOAT films I decided to try to learn ASL. Sadly, it's really hard when you have no one to sign...

How does your group handle an absent player?

Basically “went back to town for supplies”. IE got called away to do something else.

D&D General Playing D&D Without Dice?

Yeah my first thought would have been chits. Tear up paper, write #s on each. Flip them over and mix it up. Draw as needed.

The same that happened Gygax happens to Rein-Hagen?

The tone of the game has changed as well. It was gothic punk and trying to avoid becoming a monster and now less punk and less gothic and “can I live with what I must do?”. Gone are the days of the cool Bradstreet art. Look at Bloodlines 2. Stripped out all the edgy humor (and other stuff)...

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

Did the actual Session 1 of my new DH campaign today. Motherboard setting with a heavy dose of Horizon ZD mixed in. Used a starter adventure off their webpage and modified it a bit. Overall it went pretty well. I need to keep it mind to get them to describe the world and their actions...

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

Made characters and ran a short scenario to try out the rules. I must not have done the combat building math right because 4 party members shouldn’t have had to tough of a time with 1 Ogre and 4 Dire Wolves but they were getting torn apart. Guess I need to reread the combat building section...

My first time GMing this I will run the Motherboard frame because it's basically Horizon Zero Dawn. Looking forward to it.

How do you like to start a campaign

“In the beginning there was nothing and then the DM said let there be light and there was light. Players roll for blindness as the universe bursts into existence and light.”

D&D General A Rant: DMing is not hard.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

Kind of sad about the house. While most of the world probably doesn't care to some of us D&D nerds it is a place of significance. Well, IMO.

D&D 5E (2024) Odyssey of the Dragonlords Remastered Edition Kickstarter is LIVE

Ran the original when it came out. Still the best adventure I've run for 5E. Put's WotC's output to shame.

D&D 5E (2024) Ed Greenwood to Publish 4 New Forgotten Realms Sourcebooks in 2026

Was hoping for a Dale's Lands in the Dalelands book. A book about a guy named Dale and his land that he owns in the Dalelands.
