    The Bard's Melee Weapon powers

This one is particularly fun when you're running around with a bunch of int and cha based gimps with MBAs reminiscent of the antics of a peewee softball team. Perhaps I wasn't fair on my first pass. Melee bard, while lacking a diversity of options, seems to have the edge on range in terms of...

    The Bard's Melee Weapon powers

Well, when I use Guiding Strike, the victim is usually ignored or attacked on a different defense, while when I use Vicious Mockery the target tends to be focus fired to death prior to making another attack. Let's call it a wash.

    The Bard's Melee Weapon powers

The 4e bard's boons are much akin to 3e Dodge, perfectly forgettable fiddly bits.

    Need Campaign Design Help

I'm glad you guys like the Stepstones. If you're looking for ideas that aren't quite so inimical... Drydock: It is a little known truth that spelljamming craft were originally developed not in the pursuit of knowledge or conquest, but rather, in search of new markets, by that most pecuniary of...

    Need Campaign Design Help

The Stepstones: A set of 3 demiplanes that are nested within the Far Realm. Each demiplane is a bounded sphere with transparent borders looking out into a specific region of Farspace. Early elven planar explorers(or whathaveyou) created these demispheres as observation posts from which to...

[Folks that like 4e] What are some things from previous editions that you miss?

I miss a lively ENworld. Not sure I can lay it at the feet of the ruleset, but this place seems dead.

    Solving the minion problem: Waves!

Like killing minions? Dwarven bloodmagi can clean the board as a minor action. Played one in a one shot. Tons o' fun.

How many Powers in the PHB?

In the Experience interview, Heinsoo said that you get to pick a new power at every level from the 4, 5 or 6 options available. I'm uncertain if he was using the term 'power' in the technical sense or not.

A suggestion to 'fix' hit points.

Now that the bulk of damage dealing effects work via a 'hit' mechanic , the term 'hit point' seems more apropos than ever before.

Being that 'perfectly x' is frequently associated with sandwiches that fall on the floor, I'm okay with it.

    D&D 4E 4e Monster List - Dwarven Nosepicker & Elven Butt Scratcher

This is where your argument goes off of the rails for me. Slapping a different race tag on a creature doesn't make it any more unique than changing the color of its underwear for purposes of game play. If the roles were the only thing to define the differences between creatures of a given...
