I noticed that V did indeed assume that the payment would not be required until adter V's death, as has been predicted in earlier threads here. Of course, there's no guarantee that that is what the fiends will actually do.

Something else to consider would be comics licensed from other properties. Some of those have black people, such as Martha Jones in Doctor Who.
His portfolio might also include healing, to reflect his background as a surgeon.
I think Daredevil would work as a god of bravery, acrobatics, and the senses.
The Kingpin could be some kind of lord of thieves.
Xavier strikes me as being a god of peace and psionics.
This story is pretty impressive. I've always been interested in Dragonstar. It's the closest thing to my ideal setting that I've seen published. Just the other day I got a copy of the Player's Companion, thus completing my collection of the FFG books for the setting.
I like some of the ideas that have already been suggested, such as The Venture Bros., Doctor Who, Thundercats, and The Dresden Files. Some I would add are Eureka, Gargoyles, The Seventh Tower, Futurama, and Magic: the Gathering.
