Alara returned his nod, grateful the Warforged had dropped down safely. "Let's get inside," she told the others. She made her way to the end of the car, hoping to find a ladder or a hatch.

"Ogham!" Alara called up to the warforged urgently. She did not like their precarious position on the roof but could not proceed until the Warforged had joined them.

Alara looked in concern at DePoe, worried that perhaps his earlier poisoning had taken more out of him than she had thought. But he seemed to recover himself. The wizard looked up at Ogham expectantly.

Alara nodded to the Orien guard. "Thank you for transport," she offered. To Ogham and Poe, she added, "Come on, then." Her eyes were cool and focused as she threw herself onto the train and landed with uncharacteristic agility. Athletics to avoid bellyflopping onto train: 1D20 = [19] = 19

Alara nodded, shaking her head as if to clear it and following onto the sky coach.

As the lightning rail cleared the station, a few errant bolts in its wake played along the platform. As the harmless flickerings played across the fallen Alara they seemed to elicit the slightest of responses, and her breathing miraculously steadied as the train sped off into the distance...

As Alara lay on the platform, a faint, gurgling cough escaped her lips, though no light came to her eyes. Made second death save: Alara Death Save: 1D20 = [14] = 14 Apologies for not rolling the last one.

Alara felt the blood flowing from her wounds and eyed the oncoming thugs. She could accomplish no more here but, she thought, if she could get aboard the train she might be able to bring Ogham aboard after her. But the scholarly noble had never been the most agile of souls, and she mis-timed...

How fast is the train moving? Is it possible for Alara to leap onto the train, then run back along it to the car behind and try to grab Ogham as it goes by? Or is the train already moving too fast for that? Also, I think Alara is actually at 1 HP with the second attack from a scimitar.

Seeing Ogham topple to the ground, Alara pushed herself away from the scimitar-wielding brigand, moving to the edge of the platform beside the warforged. She loosed a bolt of fire at the nearest bandit. Move to stand 1W of Depoe - this will invoke an attack of opportunity from the guy trying...

Alara charged down the steps, but instead of trying to slip past the waiting thugs she drew herself up before two of them. They hesitated an uncertain as she slammed her walking stick into the ground and an enormous wave of arcane force burst from her. "Garra left you here to die, did he?"...

Alara goes last from the PCs, so I'll write my post after I see what others are doing. By my count I've got one spell left, but whatever I use positioning is important.

What was the description of our target again?

Alara fell in behind them.

Alara looked after the departing halfling, grimly wondering if they had just made a mistake. But there was no going back now. "Let's go," she said, gesturing for the others to move on.

"Any objections to cutting him loose?" Alara asked the others, drawing her dagger in preparation for the deed. Then she eyed the halfling. "Do you know what Garra looks like?"

"Bad guys sometimes tie up bad guys," Alara explained, remembering some of the unsavory characters with whom she had been incarcerated during the Last War.
