Once more unto the breach...We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!

These are the lyrics to a Garth Brooks song. It is NOT a country song. IRELAND They say mother earth is breathing With each wave that finds the shore Her soul rises in the evening For to open twilights door Her eyes are the stars in heaven Watching o’er us all the while And her heart it is...

Once more unto the breach...We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!

"Come on, you sons of bitches-do you want to live forever?" (Attributed to Gunnery Sergeant Dan Daly, USMC, Belleau Wood, June 1918.) "So they've got us surrounded, good! Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards won't get away this time!" CHESTY PULLER, USMC "Goddam it, you'll never...

    Direction of Advertising

I know. But that kind of junk has not been used on enworld before. I like being able to check in at enworld no matter where I'm at, be it work, home, etc. And I like not having to worry if my kids are looking over my shoulder. Don't get me wrong, I heartily endorse photos of scantily clad...

    Direction of Advertising

What's up with the advertising around here lately? The ads for Unorthodox Rogues, cheerleaders and whatnot have been featuring some scantily clad or provocatively posed models. I'd post the banners here, but I just spent fifteen minutes trying and I'm technologically challenged. Anyway...

    The coolest looking genre?

Post Apocalyptic. Gamma World, Fallout CRPG (series), Mad Max movies. Our world is gone. The recognizable world around you is shattered and destroyed. It exists now as a backdrop for the adventures of gritty, battered heroes in piecemeal armor, some armed with flintlocks, some with swords...

Do you suffer from Post Campaign Depression?

Post Campaign Depression??? I just shut down my Star Wars D20 game and I almost did a little happy dance. It ran for the better part of three years and as the gm I was not happy for most of them. The players had problems with the restrictiveness of the system and I had problems coming up with...

How much evil can a mundane man cause?

I play RPG's for fun, relaxation and escape from reality. By definition and example what you describe happens everyday. Our world is full of sick, twisted, evil people. From politicians to the media, criminals, even police and governments. There is no truth, only spin. People commit evil...

What are the chances of that?

Them's the breaks. Find a cleric or break out the stat dice... :p A few years back, my 2E ranger (high level, 3 attacks/round) dropped three d20's for an attack roll. All three came up "20". Needless to say, I spent the rest of the session smirking.

"....so we tossed the jerk out...."

Ah, but that's the beauty of it. It was enirely UN-soliticted!!! So :p :D

"....so we tossed the jerk out...."

I agree with everything you said, except this one statement. Without totally derailing the thread, I'd like to make a couple of points: One: US vaccinations have a high mercury (as a preservative) content. This is bad. Two: Many countries, including European countries, will not use US...

"....so we tossed the jerk out...."

Count your blessings. I walked into one of the gaming rooms at my FLGS to check on a game in progess. One of the large, beefy guys was kneeling on a chair while leaning waaay over the table, adjusting some mini's. He was not wearing a belt. He was wearing loose jeans. As I mentioned he is a...

Wizards Design Test: Who's going to submit?

That's exactly what I meant. Go light to set up the map, then darken over the light lines with pencil, pen, whatever. Light lines are easier to erase and that takes some of the pressure off you. You don't worry about mistakes as much. :D

Wizards Design Test: Who's going to submit?

First off, remember the word count. Like we posted earlier, this is only going to be 3-5 pages, depending on how you count it. It's going to be small. Keep it Simple. Use graph paper, a pencil and a ruler. Draw light, then darken your lines. If you write, use block printing, and again...

Wizards Design Test: Who's going to submit?

The WOTC site says 2500-4000 words. At 1500 words per page (roughly) thats only 3-1/2 pages. Seems a little short to me. (1500 words/page is based on submission guidlines for other companies) Anybody have any insight?

Update on Damon's (lung cancer kid) condition

http://www.acor.org This site is one of the best. It has tons of information on the various types of cancer. Most importantly, it has mailing lists. You can network with other patients and their families and get info, prayers and support. I'll post more later. Hard to do this at work.

What do you think WotC should be making?

Personally, I'd like to see a whole set of Darth Mikey miniatures, (multiple poses, pre-painted plastic), with a special unpainted pewter collectible edition. But that's just me. :p
