3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

Also a good reminder - you and the rest of the team working on that have made it into a really spectacular resource!

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

There will not be a compendium of the Thematic Toolkits, but they are being gradually absorbed by the Multiclasser's Manual line. Right now, this is the list of smaller products absorbed into larger ones for PMG. You'll need to ask other creators for their own lists. MoAR Complete: MoAR...

Level Up (A5E) The Shotgun: Heralds' and Rogues' best friend

And if you're using slugs, most body armor won't protect the target. It won't be as messy as buckshot, but that's also "drop a bear" levels of stopping power.

Level Up (A5E) The Shotgun: Heralds' and Rogues' best friend

Sure. Lockbuster rounds, taser rounds, beanbag rounds, baton ammo, etc. But a load of 00 buckshot, especially at close range, will also stop just about anyone in their tracks. That is a lot of kinetic energy delivered all at once.

Level Up (A5E) The Shotgun: Heralds' and Rogues' best friend

Shotguns are really nasty close-quarters weapons. There's a reason why SWAT teams like them so much! Also, it's not even that hilarious to me; it feels very on-flavor for both heralds and rogues. I think shotgun + smite starts getting into the same flavor neighborhood as DOOM, and shotgun +...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

Maybe eventually, but it's been a while since that page has been updated. Drivethru does have a Level Up category, though, so that's a good way to see the latest and greatest from those of us in the third-party community; that includes newer entries into the space like Variant Codex Press and...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

5e and A5e aren't huge proponents of static bonuses, so that language seemed like a good way to "backdoor" a similar effect. Mathematically, it's identical though, you are correct. There's also a minor flavor element of their protections being less protective against you and your allies, rather...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

It's mentioned up there and will be in one of the planned releases, have no fear! While the primary goals of this and my other releases are to add something cool to the system and make enough money at it to make continuing worthwhile, the SCS line has two secondary goals: maintain a release...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

You missed a couple and/or gave me more credit than I'd earned on the AG classes! We've still got the bard, berserker, and marshal in addition to the sorcerer out of that book, and there's also the artificer from GPG 0, too! The next two releases will be called Arcane Power and Frontline Fury...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

Volume 3 of Single-Class Synergy is now available! This volume covers the adept, druid, and herald first-party classes and the champion and witch third-party classes. The champion is found in Martial Artistry that just released earlier this month! For those who haven't seen the previous two...

Level Up (A5E) A5Evening: An All Party Roundup: June 20th with Peter Martin and Jim Temple

I know you didn't ask me, but I can offer a few pieces of advice as someone whose total number of designed archetypes is now in the triple digits. ;) The first is to check the power level of the features for other archetypes of the same level. If you're still unsure, look at features from...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

It has admittedly been quite some time since I reviewed the AiZ file. It's a really good setting, but not the one I'm currently running a game in, and I considered the class in it to be in a legal gray area so I didn't have much cause to return to it. I will have to pull down the new version and...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

Since I have you here, there's a second component to my hesitancy beyond what my non-lawyer perspective sees as a class in a bit of a legal grey area: based on both the experience of one of my players (who has since converted his savant character to a rogue/marshal build) and various feedback...

It was in an older one that's apparently no longer valid, but yeah, not in the current ones.

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

I'm holding off on further support for the savant until EN Publishing puts it in an SRD. It's in kind of a weird legal limbo space right now, and I have plenty of other classes to keep me busy.

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

This isn't set in stone yet, so it could change, but as of right now, yes, fighter/ranger is one of the combinations planned for MMV3.

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

Yes, there will be future installments. I intend to cover the 13 classes in the adventurer's guide, the artificer, and the following third-party classes: bloodblade, champion, elementalist, esper, gunslinger, scholar, sentinel, warcaster, wielder, witch. Possibly some more, too, depending on...

Level Up (A5E) A5Evening: An All Party Roundup: June 20th with Peter Martin and Jim Temple

Yep! I'll definitely be covering the elementalist in the SCS line. Other third-party classes I'm planning support for but haven't covered yet include the bloodblade and witch, as well as the four new classes in Steampunkette's upcoming Martial Artistry (the champion, gunslinger, sentinel, and...

3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 2: Singular Specialists

The second release in the controversially-titled series covers the esper, ranger, scholar, warlock, and wielder classes. To address that controversy: while it's kind of a linguistic misnomer to call these "synergy feats" (though no more so than the ones that let you turn into a vampire or...
