If you were Scott Rouse, would you call out for the next week after tonight's mess?

Scott seems like a good guy and this decision doesn't sound like his work, but expecting a WotC employee to go out in public criticising his company's decisions is just not fair. If Scott did post on here saying how dumb WotC are being then he'd probably get fired or at the very least be first...

    Can't stack roll/score bonuses from feats ?

Yes, on the general, but no on the specific. Feat bonuses do not stack so your Dwarf Paladin will only get a +2 bonus to damage when he Holy Strikes with an Axe. But both Power Attack and Powerful Charge provide an untyped bonus, not a feat bonus so they will stack with Dwarven Weapon Training.

    Feystep

I had the party captured in Keep on the Shadowfell. We had an Eladrin Rogue with us and I ruled that the rope binding his hands would remain on when he fey stepped (after all his clothes stay on him so that made sense). Luckily for him, he'd managed to hide away a dagger, cut the ropes of...

    Keep on the Shadowfell Review

Having run KotS I would definitely echo the problems with multi characters. We started with 4 players, 1 playing the Wizard and Paladin and he did struggle with the options involved with both until we dragged a 5th player in to run the Paladin. Surprised it took 3 hours to run a combat...

The size of real world baronies

Remember as well that unless the area was very small, the land that a Baron owns would not be a contigious piece of land. The Baron might own three villages here, another about a mile away separated by a piece of land owned by a church, then another two villages about 10 miles distant that was...

How Many 3.X Books In Your Collection?

I'm counting 77 books, but I'm not counting any small booklets like Sunless Citadel, Heart of Nightfang Spire and D&D Gazetteer (the small Greyhawk supplement which came right after the 3.0 release)

So, I am going to become a RPGA DM

My top pieces of advice: 1) Don't wing stuff - as an experienced DM as well, my inclination is to do something approximating the rules if I think it makes more sense but that's going to get you grief at an RPGA gaming table. One example - I was running a Living Greyhawk at GenCon UK and there...

Rappan Athuk Reloaded: Post your number here!

The Registry itself is here, http://www.mcomedia.net/rpg/RARe_Registry/SignupV2.aspx I think it's got close to 100 boxes accounted for now.

Deluxe Gaming Products - Lessons from Ptolus

Sorry, this is off topic but RARe for characters of level 1? There's absolutely no help for a DM to link RA up to 1st level characters. It's great but the level range should be 5-20.

I've got #804 on the way which should arrive at my FLGS tomorrow.

The griffon does need something to balance it though, having to stick a lump of blu-tack on the base doesn't add to it's attractiveness.

    Faerun vs. Faerûn

Wasn't the Moonshaes the first bit of the Realms that Ed Greenwood designed? If so then given that the Moonshaes is proto-Celtic it would make sense for Faerûn to be pronounced with a long-u. Mind you if it was all in Welsh it would be more Vae-reen.

    Faerun vs. Faerûn

But in Welsh, the effect of the circumflex is to length the vowel, hence môr (sea) and cŵn (dogs). So that's why I'd say the circumflex makes the word Fay-roon
