    The PF2 alchemist

No Quick Alchemy specifies Common item. Alchemical Crafting grants 4 common level 1 Formulas. The Formula book starts you with 4 common level 1 Formulas. Generally it would seem they are the same 4, but the Goblin Alchemist pregen they previewed apparently started with 8 formulas so I guess...

    The PF2 alchemist

So someone on the Paizo forums noticed that Quick Alchemy and Advanced Alchemy specify Common Alchemical items for what you can use them for. And at no point do they add higher rarity alchemical items as available options. Even when you later add Mutagens to your Formula Book it doesn't...

    The PF2 alchemist

What do you mean? There is a limit of time and money, just like any other crafting. Unless you are talking about the crafting that uses Resonance, but that becomes inert after 24 hours.

D&D 5E Dragon PCs - what are your concerns?

Oh hey 77IM, I was just thinking of linking your work when I saw this topic. Still wish you had gotten around to those revisions. But now I am running a game and someone is using your work, though I did let them select an actual Background so they had more normal amount of skills. They are...

New Warlock Invocation: Greater Pact Weapon

Okay I didn't read that. That is actually really nice. Though of course it depends on actually finding nice magic weapons.

New Warlock Invocation: Greater Pact Weapon

I am sorry, I don't see what this invocation does that you can't already do with the Pact Weapon. Except wasting magic weapons, and being able to switch between them on a short rest. I guess it might be quicker than spending 1 hour during a short rest transforming your magic weapon into your...

    D&D 5E Is Warlock broken?

Sorry for the Fighter capstone I actually meant the Battlemaster capstone, like the Monk it used to regain its resource per round. But now they both regain 1 if they have 0 when they roll initiative. That said yeah Fighters got nerfed of Defy Death and Indomitable, not happy about those...

    D&D 5E Is Warlock broken?

Not sure where Ashrym is getting a bunch of that. The Warlock, and Sorcerer had the LEAST amount of playtest. They were the two classes introduced first after the core four. But they were in two playtest packets, with no changes between the two, then REMOVED because people freaked out that...

    Sell me on the Warlock

Out of curiosity why is it that a number of builds have picked Lifedrinker for an Invocation? Since that Invocation is not an option under the level 9 build requirement.

D&D 5E Damn paladins, you scary!

There is also the question of why there was only a single d6 on all that damage. That said 50 damage? At level 10? That doesn't seem all that impressive.

D&D 5E Barbarians: Why Rage per Day?

I kind of like the idea of gaining in strength as you are attacked/damaged. But, well the problem is that Rage is already pretty weak, so if you have no control over when you Rage it needs to be vastly improved. So even if it was at-will but outside of your control it needs to be beefed up...

D&D 5E Barbarians: Why Rage per Day?

I feel like no one is looking at the fact that the Barbarian Rage is completely and utterly inferior to the Druid's Wild Shape. Admittedly Rage does give Resistance to three types of damage, which Wild Shape doesn't get until 10th level, and admittedly ... uh I forgot what my second point in...

D&D 5E Second D&D "Extra Life" Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide Preview

Now if only they make it to the 90k mark for all those little previews, or even the 100k for the map I guess.

    D&D 5E What about a Shapeshifter class?

More or less liking the look so far, would like to see more rules, more invocations, and obviously more levels. This is one thing that has upset me about 3.x, 4e, Pathfinder, and obviously 5e. There is no Shapeshifting class. The Druid is more of a spellcaster than shapeshifter, and its...

    D&D 5E Dragon Player Characters

Did you ever get around to updating this?

    D&D 5E Dragon Player Characters

Didn't mention it earlier but I was also kind of disappointed by the 20th level capstones. Legendary Resistance is kind of nice and useful, but it is a once per day kind of ability. Lair seems, well, limited. If you are in a certain, unlikely to ever happen, situation it could prove useful...

    D&D 5E Dragon Player Characters

So yeah happened across this and I would like to play it, but I have some misgivings. While my favorite archetype is the Apex Predator, because I like the idea of a huge bruiser of a dragon, it seems a bit weak compared to the other two. It gets slightly higher Strength, assuming you spend...

    D&D 5E So...warlocks?

Well Hex is fairly similar to Hunter's Mark except a Warlock can make more attacks to benefit from it than a Ranger or Paladin, as the way to get 4 attacks on a Ranger is another Concentration spell. Also once you get to the point of casting Hex as a 5th level spell you can maintain...

D&D 5E Potent Cantrip is still dumb, btw

Well the thing is in the playtest that is how Potent Cantrip worked, although it might have specified Evocation Cantrips back then. Also back then Great Weapon Fighting style did damage on a miss. Both were changed because people complained about Great Weapon Fighting style giving Fighters...

    D&D 5E Finally

Someone, a few I think, asked about Monk Unarmed damage increasing. The latest versions I saw had them starting with 1d6 and going to 1d12, but I heard that 1st level Monk Unarmed damage was now 1d4 which is a travesty if true. So I am adding my voice to the question of how does Monk Unarmed...
