I used to play 10-18 hour game sessions every week, 3 players and the DM, and it was the most efficient game I've ever played in. No OOC conversation, 2 minute eating breaks every 6 hours or so, and t3 bathroom breaks. :)

What's the format of the RPGA? I'm not really familar how it operates.

You could have one player use a small tv tray(it does work, i've seen it), and position him around the group. If cost of food for the game is getting high then cut out the snacks, or buy cheap generic products.

I think that if D&D is going to stay around for a while, it's going to need some "tune-ups" here and there. I think it's just the idea that corporate marketing executives and accountants are in control of the product, and not the fans, but this just an opinion.
