How advanced are the technology of the Zeitgeist setting suppossed to be? I don't mean magically enhanced technology, but more basic stuff like firearms and steam engines. Do they have steam driven cars? Revolvers and rifles? How about printing press and manufacturing lines? Does electricity...

This will please a couple of my players who always tends to play skill monkeys, but rarely gets to use their skills in any meaningful way. (we're playing the Pathfinder version btw) My main concern is at higher levels. Magic always seem to trump skills when you get past certain levels.

As it currently stand none of my players have any plans to play a wizard. My group is looking to be pretty magic starved. I currently have a rogue, a fighter and a gunslinger and maybe an alchemist if i convince the player to play one. But we'll see how it goes :p

Thanks. Thinking about it my players should probably be able to handle it. Maybe I'll give them some slight hints that hey should pick up some healing wands, magical ammo or holy water when they get their stipend or just place some of the items above as treasure in one of the earlier encounters...

I would add story-level interaction, those who play the game because they want to be part of a great story and through their action be able to shape how the story goes. Personally I like a mix of all five. I play with a married couple and the wife is more of a character-story-level interaction...

Thanks, a lot of good advice there. The character I'm playing will start off as a knight in service to an order that puts others before themselves first so lots of these ideas fits perfectly with the concept I already have in mind.
