Well sure the characters belong to the players I agree on that. I just want to find a way for me to let characters be able to leave the game without making it obvious or implausible.

Sounds good to me. I like the idea of retirement or issues that the character doesn't want the party to be involved.

Yeah I agree with my preposters. There are some things I don't like as well (like XP calculation) but that's not much of an issue to me, I give out situation based XP. And if you see so many flaws, play a different game or write your own :p
