There is nothing unbalanced about even the 36d6 Hellfire Warlock - At the levels it's ability exists at a High DC Save-or-Die is still far better. It's a nice class yes, one of the few that can actually do okay at Blasting at a high level - but they're no full caster even with UMD.

Pretty sure that in a Q&A with the designer on the wizards forums he said that it was up to the DM as there aren't any rules for or against it that he knew of but that it probably wouldn't be overpowered. It would increase Invocations known, EB damage, etc if allowed.

Warlocks can cast any invocation they know all day, no exceptions - this includes the eldritch blast. Honestly read the class entry again, - it's stated quite clearly - this is probably the most common question asked about the warlock.
